Every cloud has a silver lining

For me this cloud is about relationships.I have been talking about it here how most of my siblings live 'cloistered' lives bothering only about their nuclear family and meeting only at functions. On the surface it would look like a cloud but I have seen a silver lining out there. My extended family is huge and if all of them were head over heals in love with me how could I have ever handled if they chose to be my guests. I would be spending all my life caring for them. Every cloud has a silver lining. What is your cloud that has a silver lining?

i was badly hurt by a supervisor when i was in the military. the silver lining is that i no longer have to live being under that person anymore. i also get paid retirement pay for what he did to me. i am young, and have retirment pay, but i no longer have to work due to mental illness. i get to be with my family and not worry about how we are going to eat. i don't have to try to work while being sick, like before. i also know that person can never hurt me again. that's the silver lining.

It is only when one identifies the silver lining that one can face the cloud boldly. And you have done just that!

Hi, You are right everyone is busy in their nuclear families. We all have to arrange some get together or functions for coming together. But my siblings come together whenever we are in need and ready to help each other at any time. But there is a cloud about some relatives. they are jealous and selfish and there is no silver lining.

I love that quote! My cell phone cas even has it. I really think that in every bad situation, there is something good, a ray of hope.
