Going to the races

I managed to get some free tickets for the horse racing at Ascot on 1st May
I am not really into horse racing but my husband is as he sits and watches the races every Saturday afternoon and he is pretty good at predicting the winners.
As our first wedding anniversary is approaching next week (10th April)I thought it would make the perfect present.
I am excited about going as I have never been to the races before and have no idea what to expect. I think it is good to try new things.

Thats great. I love horse races. My dad used to take me to santa anita and del mar in calif. usa. I always had fun. Never made any money on bets. But it was sure fun.

Sounds like you had some good times with your dad.
Hopefully we will pick some winners but as long as we have fun that is all that matters.
