A person can drink coffee once in a day. Intake of more coffee will have negative affect on blood sugar levels. Too much coffee can cause gastric problems. Most of them are addicted to coffee. I heard that coffee can change one's mood, its true or not i don't know. Drink coffee keeping your health in your mind.

A I would often say, anything taken in excess, is bad for our health. It is fine to drink a cup of coffee a day coz it has antioxidants that can be beneficial to us. However, taking too much of it will cause sleeplessness and palpitations due to the caffeine.

I agree that to much coffee is probably hard on your body. Mixed feeling from the web, some say that coffee is good for you and some say it is not. I myself have 1-2 cups a day. I have been trying to ween myself off slowly so as not to get severe headaches. Taking vitamins to get my energy boost instead. I love the Alive vitamins for the herb store. Much better.

Coffee puts too much stress on the adrenal gland, cacao too. Everything in moderation, that's my advice... :)

I drink several cups of coffee in a day. Sometimes I take coffee to keep awake during nights. I know it is not a good habit but I am unable to get over it. I want to reduce the intake of coffee gradually. It will also help me save some money too!

I think you work in night shift. That's the reason you have more and more coffee to keep one's awake during nights. But take coffee moderately and try to reduce intake of coffee slowly.

Hi mansoak, I think anything taken in excess is bad for one's health. It's be like 'poison' to the body as the body needs to get rid of it and sometimes not quick enough. And that can give rise to health problems. But what is too much for one may be ok for another. So I guess only that person can know if it's bad for his/her health. So my take is to consume anything with moderation and you'll be fine. Have a nice day.

Yes you are right. Any food taken in excess becomes poison for the body. We should take adequate food keeping in mind the nutrients in it.

Coffee is very good for the health. It does prevent acidity when drank with something in the stomach. It wakes the mind up. It is also known to be very good for the skin. But all these good effects are reversed when it is drank too much. In other words, too much is always bad. I am used to drinking 3 to 4 cups a day but now I just consume 1 to 2 cups. I just found myself shivering and palpitating even. Now everything is good again after cutting down my consumption.

Actually I think drinking 3-4 cups a day is not a problem. In fact most doctors nowadays think coffee has generally positive effects on health. Myself I usually drink two cups a day. Until 24 I didn't drink coffee at all. But then work and stress made me start drinking it. There are far worse things you eat and drink than coffee, and you eat and drink them daily.

Hi ! Anything that is too much is dangerous. What i loved in a coffee is that it is good for kidneys since it is a good diuretic. Yes it contains caffeine dangerous to our heart. I think any intake should be in desirable amount only and in excess would always mean risk .

As we all know, too much of anything is bad for our health. I'm a coffee addict too, the most is 4 to 5 cups a day. It also depends especially if I have something that needs to be finished, the tendency is I drank more to stay awake. Coffee is rich with antioxidants too that's good for our body. In moderation is perfect just to be safe.

Coffee, I think this depends on the person and their physical make up. If I start to drink coffee, I will gain water weight. I know for some it is a diuretic, but for me it makes he retain water. as with everything, just in moderation. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/caffeine/NU00600

Yes that is true, too much drinking coffee is really bad for your health it will have negative effect on blood sugar level and can interfere the absorption of minerals in the body, increase the risk of myocardial infarction, brings harm to the stomach(promote gastric secretions and gastric acids) and also lead to addiction. Coffee has advantages as well as disadvantages to the body. Control the amount when drinking coffee, do not drink too much otherwise it will lead you to harm.
