be honest: in the absence of a toothpick would you use your finger?

Foods getting trapped between the teeth make us uncomfortable all day long. This is especially true when we are eating foods that are prone to getting trapped between the teeth. I have seen many people, educated ones even, who use their fingers to remove these trapped foods. Yes, it happens. It is gross but some people just can't stand having these trapped foods in the teeth, so in the absence of toothpick they just use their fingers or maybe if they have long nails, a nail to remove the food. Have you ever done this before? I won't say I haven't done this because I did it once. There was no toothpick around and the food that got stuck was big and it bothered me so I used my fingers to remove it. It's a big yuck but I got relieved after that. Share your own experience.

Yeah, it feels like a strange object lodged between the teeth that must be removed immediately.

Yea plus it looks even worse to run your tongue along the inside of your mouth and teeth all the time. Just use your finger. There is worse iv'e seen like people picking their nose. So i dont mind so much if people stick their fingers in their mouth just not their nose thanks :)

What's worse is when they stick it to their nose then their mouth after that.

Hahaha I'm mistaken. I use nails for the other problem but I indeed use my finger to pull the stuck food between my teeth.

In all honesty? Yes, I have used my fingers in the past, it can be highly irritating when you can feel something lodged in your teeth, no matter how much you try to use your tongue to dislodge it, it doesn't work, so I will use my nail, which is actually unhygienic because you fingers pick up so many germs, and you are then transferring them from finger to mouth!

It is really a dirty practice but what can we do when there is no toothpick nor floss around?

That is gross but I admit I do it sometimes. I do not like using toothpicks. I like to use floss but that is not always available. I cannot stand the discomfort of having something lodged between my teeth, so I just go inside the restroom and remove it using my fingers. This really made me laugh

Sometimes even in public when no one is looking, we do it when it gets uncomfortable.

Hi cutie I normally use toothpicks i am not really comfortable using the finger and moreover i dont grow my nails long they are always short so no use of using my fingers. I never use any safety pins or anything related to iron or steel as they may cause infection or a cut. I use paper if i dont get a toothpick. Like i take a small piece of paper roll it like think stick and use it. I feel this is safer than our own finger or nail. More over small piece of paper is always available with us and also can throw it there after .

Well, this is something gross to do but I did experience it too as the food stuck in between my teeth and I find it so uncomfortable. Sometimes, I will use the tissue paper to cover up my mouth and fingers. At other if I could find a descent toilet, I would go to the wash basin in the toilet to do it. But, I tried my best not to do it in public as far I could.

People find it disgusting to see someone picking his teeth with his fingers. It is gross to see so we have to be sensitive and do it privately.

Absolutely though it kinda awkward but i do it if no toothpick is available at that time but that's my last resort, i try to look for a match first, but if can't find a match that is the time that i will use my finger. I don't care about the people around, all i care is i want to be relieve, and besides they don't know my name, unless they're friend.

Yes. I see some people who did those things but, I have never tried to use fingers to remove trapped foods between my teeth. My mom would ask me to use toothpick after eating foods but, even I seen toothpick on a table, I still don't want to use it. He he... I don't know why I'm so shy to use toothpick just to remove trapped foods between my teeth. I still wait to go home so that I can brush my teeth.

yes, haha when no ones around I usually go to the comfort room and do my thing but when in my house I do what ever I want, no options to battle with the thingy in between the tooth and when toothpick is out in hand other methods are well entertained haha

yes even i have done it twice or thrice. Bt even if there are no toothpics i wud rather find something that can play the part of a toothpic. That way its more convenient..
