First time I´ve seen this movie, I was a child. Since then, I saw it probably hudnred times. And every time I finish watching it, I have to thnik about it. Such a beautiful movie about life. About ordinary man with unordinary life. It covers almost every important topic of our lives or history - love, friendship, war, optimism, hope. Forrest wasn´t very clever man. But in many ways he was better than most of us. He knew the importance of life. And that´s amazing. Tom Hanks helped to create one of the most influencial movie character of all the times - at least for me. I love him. I would like to never give hope like Forrest. What do you think about this movie? I read opinions that it is one of the most overrated movies - do you agree? Or do you agree with me?

Tom Hanks never disappoints you, isnt it? he did a great job in this movie too.I cannot forget the scene where he ask that his child is normal or not, expressions he gave in that scene were awesome. It was funny to see that he appears in so many historical events. Its not at all overrated in my opinion,i wonder why people think that way, anyways best wishes.

Actually, there were some movies, where the performance of Tom Hanks disappointed me a little bit. For example Da Vinci Code or Larry Crowne. But otherwise he is incredible actor and I really like him. But in Forest Gump I think he brought his best performance.

I love that movie. It makes me think every time I watch it. I have the DVD at home and recommend it to anyone. Forrest is an extraordinary person and achieved goals that even many highly intelligent people only dream of. There are so many messages there that you can pick up,on that you tend to learn something new every time you watch it. Tom Hanks did an exceptional job in that movie, and I hope he won an Oscar. It's timeless! It was just like yesterday when it came out, & I watched it a couple of years later. With all the technology used to make that movie, the movie isn't really that old. It's a movie made way ahead of it's time.

You´re right. This movie is timeless. And Tom Hanks won an Oscar for his perfomance in this movie. It´s one of the well-deserved Oscars of all time.

I liked that movie as well. It is heartwarming and a little bit heartbreaking. Love knows no boundaries and that is how I see the message in that film.

I don't think the movie is over rated. It is a very meaningful movie with a good plot and interesting character: Forrest. I like tom hanks in this movie. He delivered his role very well. This movie makes me cry and reflect on my life. If I were more like forrest, would I succeed in life too? The movie tells us that being positive, not letting other people take us down or talk us down, always having faith in God, erasing self-doubts and always love can get us through life. It's not about intelligence but about determination, faith and hope(which are qualities that many smart people of today lack) I learned a lot from this movie. i'll keep watching it to remind myself of its useful lessons.
