1st lady bangs?

Who cares about mrs. Obamas bangs? Why is her hair often a top story on the news? There are so many things they could be reporting on. Why expose us to such frivalous fluff pieces?

Because she is the first Lady, being marrid to the president of the USA. She will always be of interest to the public. You have a choice as you do not have to read the articles

I watch the news in the morning to be updated on what is happening in the world. Her hair as headline news is a joke. I learn more about news topics on mylot. The hassle of bangs is not newsworthy. As the first lady she should be doing something important to get on tv. She is in the position to make things happen, to make a difference, shine the spot light on issues that really matter. Instead of inspiring people to be healthy, reform healthcare, schools, make peace she inspires a freaking hair cut. It is a waste of her position as first lady. Bangs have been around forever she is not even starting something new. I see that there is a news topic about healthcare, then her hair followed by a possible war. It is kind of hard to miss the rediculous topic of a hair cut when watching the news. If I wanted to see news like that I would watch entertainment news.

..some say the media is left leaning and that they are very much enamored of the first family.. When a right leaning president is in there (or if in there ever again) the reporting will be very much criticizing as it was during the Pres. Bush years. I say ever again as both education and 'news' reporting has been liberal/left for a long time now.. Just imagine if Benghazi had occurred under a right leaning administration. Did you hear about the horror den in Philadelphia, I think it was.. instead of terminating babies in the birth canal they were doing it after birth on the table. No? hardly a peep from the left leaning 'news' media.

Because the Pres. and family are always in the spotlight. Also because there is nothing else about her to talk about...

Probably for entertainment and to switch on the important matters to discuss instead such as North Korea planning to attack US base from South Korea

I kinda agree with you. I really like what I hear and see about the First Family. They raise their chidren well and seem to have good morals and values but the First Lady's Bangs were the topic of every news show and everytime she goes out in public people can't wait to see what she's wearing. Gets a little old to me but then again I'm just not that into fashion to really care. The news could talk about how she works with kids dealing with obesity or all the work she does with military families but they choose to focus on her hair and clothes. So I get what you're saying.
