Dancing With The Stars and American Idol are both well into their new seasons of dancing and singing. America has their favorites and maybe you do too. I wonder what prompts people to officially vote, is it trying to help their favorite win, or maybe trying to get someone voted off?
Have you ever voted for a couple on Dancing With The Stars? If so, how did you place your vote - online at abc.com, online at facebook, by phone, or by text?
Have you ever voted for a singer on American Idol? If so, how did you place your vote - online at americanidol.com, by phone, by text, by idol app?

i was an avid watcher of american idol but i stopped watching the show this year. i love dancing with the stars. i vote on phone for the alotted total votes you are allowed via phone. i also enjoy americas got talent which is very good.

I don't remember the exact season, but I do remember voting for Fantasia Barrino on American Idol. I remember doing it by phone 3-4 times. I don't watch Dancing With The Stars at all but I did when Wendy Williams was on. For that, remember voting for her online..she didn't make it past that week, but it felt good to show support..

I currently watch Dancing with the Stars and I try to go online and vote for my favorite contestants on a weekly basis. This year my favorites are Jacoby Jones because I'm a Ravens fan and Andy because he had a rough life and is trying to make a comeback. I was also voting for Wynonna because I've always really liked her but sadly she got voted off.
I find that I'll usually gravitate towards the contestants that have no prior dance experience. It's a little unfair to me to put celebrities who sing and dance for a living (even though it's not ballroom) against those celebrities who dont.
Years ago I used to watch American Idol and X-factor and would also call in or go online to vote for my favorite contestant simply because I wanted to see them win.
