Hi, I had a lump on my back since 4- years. But I didn't have any problem with it. But in last week it started paining and swelling. So when I went to visit my parents in Mumbai I consulted doctor. Doctor said that we have to cut it and remove it. so yesterday in the evening it was removed. The operation was very minor. So I will stay for two days with my parents. And on Sunday I will return home. My wife would do dressing of the wound. But now I am OK. Some pain is there but it is bearable.

Well, from what I understand from your discussion, your knot in the back that you had for 4 years, it was a simple routine operation for surgeons. I only remember about ten years ago, I did remove the belly, four flaw (dark spots skin), but they were not at risk of becoming malignant tumors such as melanoma. My operation was painless and fast. The thing I remember most boring maybe it was all the bureaucracy that had to be resolved before entering the operating room. However, this operation for the removal of 4 points, I had to do it on two different days, because I could not remove more than two skin spots at a time. Everything goes!

Glad to hear that you are ok. That is a long time to have a lump on your back. I remember as a teenager ending up with a tumor above my knee. I felt it after joining the track team in high school. It started to give me alot of pain when running or climbing stairs. I spent eleven days in the hospital having to learn to walk again and then I went home on crutches. Thank God it was benign.

We're glad to know that it's not that serious. It's a minor operation, so nothing to worry about. Maybe, it had swollen because every time you sleep the weight of your back puts too much strain on that lump. And 4 years is too long to wait, anyway we're really glad that all goes well.

I undergo the same minor operation last month but sadly my lump was not removed because they say it is attached to my spine. I can ask for a surgeon to look after my condition and schedule for another operation if I like. This time it will be done inside the operating room. I really hope it was easily removed like yours and then have it tested to know if it really something to worry about or not. For now am still clueless about it.

My stitches - This is how my back looked like after a week
I am actually sad when the doctor said it can not be removed after the fact that he said before he opened it that it can be. I undergo ct scan and xray twice after when I really think that it should have be done before the operation.

Hope you feeling better now, removing a lump at the back even it's a minor surgery is quite painful. You should rest and make sure to dress the wound properly to avoid any growth of bacteria which can lead to infection.

It is nice to see that the surgery was minor and you are keeping well after it. But you ought to consult a doctor long ago. Onset of pain and increase in size of the lump indicate that something serious may happen; the tumour might turn to malignancy. So, I hope a specimen has been sent for a biopsy. Please strictly follow the advice of the doctor and never neglect.

When the doctor removed the lump should be alright. The slight pain may be due to the surgery. If the pain continues and unbearable you have to consult the same doctor again. Speedy recovery.

Hi friend, you have taken the best way to stop your pain. The lump maybe not dangerous, but I think it make you discomfort, because it can pain and swelling. I also ever get the lump, but it does not dangerous, so I just give it topical medication, and it heal.
