This is very urgent and therefore I request one of my friends to help me. My antivirus protection is to expire in four days and I desperately need to renew it. I would like to buy Norton India antivirus. Can someone advise me regarding this? I want only an online download because it is faster. Can someone give me information about what the best and most cost effective model is? If you feel there are better products than Norton, can you please share your views and experiences? I am looking forward to your guidance.

I am glad you found what you were looking for. I used to have Norton but it is just too expensive. I know it did the trick when I had a bad virus that McAfee couldn't take care of for me. The tech even advised me to get Norton.

Thank you for the response. The version available in India is cheaper than the US Norton antivirus. I downloaded it .

I use a free one too. I started with comodo, but then recently started using microsoft security essentials. I feel a bit mean, but using the internet is expensive, so saving money on things like this is helpful.

according to me kaspersky internet security/antivirus is the best of all. i have used both norton and kaspersky so i know something about aboth the antivirus programs. both the antivirus are easy to use and wont slow down your ram speed. but when it comes to detection of virus, trojan etc kaspersy is way ahead than norton. kaspersky acuurately detects the virus in your computer. i would give you a suggestion you said that you already used norton so go to the kaspersky website and download the 1 month free full featured antivirus software. use it in your computer, if ou are satisfied with the results then you can go for paid downloading after a month. according to me kaspersky rocks.

Hi Kala! You could purchase Norton anti virus ranging from around Rs. 600 to Rs.1000. You will need to use your Debit/Credit Card or online banking facility for buying it online. Norton anti virus is okay for normal functioning. Else, if your computer/laptop has genuine Window 7 or Window Vista operating system then you could do without an anti virus.

It is good that you got your anti virus. We are not going anywhere in summer because we had a long trip to Kerala in the month of October, 2012.

My son says Avast is very good and he put that for me. It is working well. Since I do not know about Norton India antivirus, I am not able to compare both. Hence I may not be of help to you in this matter.

Hi Kalav, sorry about this. I am no help in term of virus protection. Just feel that I have not communicated with you for a long time. Perhaps you can check out the forum in Norton website. They have technical experts to help you select the best one for your use. Just tell them if you are using for business or home, and your budget. I hope to see you in Bubblews too. Many friends from mylot are there, hope to see you there.

Hi Kalav, at first Bubblews was disappointing. It was a busy period for them, and they did not process the payment. I just have 3 pending payments. However, for the last few payments, I receive on time. That is because they have a new support staff to take care of the payment issue.

I have been using AVG for the past 3 years and its the free version and there has been no issues with it.You can go with Norton if you are satisfied with it, you can try with the official webpage of Norton India or you can also try Flipkart they are punctual in delivering products.
