Latly the bird flu viru H7N9 has affected in Shanghai. Even though, I am not so worried about it. After all, I have experienced the horrible SARS in 2003 here. Compares to it, I don't think H7N9 is very scary. After all, the summer will be coming soon and at that time this bird flu virus will be gone by itself.

I just hope that this would not affect any one in our country. We have a lot of health issues as it is that needs to be given attention with regards to giving sufficient funds to the less fortunate. Adding another disease to worry about will just make every one else get mentally sick as well.

I think it will not affect your country because I don't think this virus will be survived in the tropical countries.

Well, that's good to know. I wouldn't want to get paranoid again just like when SARS came to our country.

Now in the grocery market, fewer people are buying chickens and ducks because of the bird flu. We are also not buying them, but vegetables and fruits and eggs and fish only. It is better to be careful than not. Take care, youless.

I can understand it because we were much more scary during SARS period in 2003. I remember at that time we even boiled the vinegar at home and in the office.

There have been several out breaks since the early 2000's and nothing has come my way. So I am not too worried about it either. Hopefully the heat of Summer will kill the virus. It could get scary if it is spread however.

I also think that this virus will be unavailable in summer.

They seemed to be able to get rid of the last one without many casualties. I am hopeful that this one will be the same.

I have to say that I am not too worried about it either, though I will grant that maybe I should be. But it hasn't reached pandemic levels yet, so I'm sure that not too many other folks are worried about it either. On the other hand, if H7N9 was affecting me or my family, then I would indeed be worried. So I guess it depends on your point of view and whether you or someone you know is infected.

Somewhat I think the H7N9 infection is not as serious as SARS.

Yeah, the horrible SARS in 2003 has caused a great stirred in many countries. However, it is better to be careful. And prevention is better than cure. All the best to you !

In 2001 my home country had the Foot and Mouth disease. It was annoying not to be able to cycle along the North Downs way Cycle Path. I couldn't do any country walks at that time. In 2003 I remember Asia suffered SARS and that was scary. Now it has the H7N9 which sounds quite worrying. Good luck and I hope it is gone by summer You Less.

When my son was little, I also heard about the Foot and Mouth disease. Few years ago my friend's son who had this problem, fortunately it seemed it was not a big and serious case and he covered from it soon.

If you have no direct contact with a bird or any related pets, or if you have no direct contact with a person who do so, then there's nothing to worry about H7N9 Bird Flu virus.

I think if we all live in fear of what could happen, we all wouldn't be living.
