How to manage time?

I am a college student taking up BS Accountancy. We all know that being a college student is far different from a high school and elementary student since MORE TIME and MORE FOCUS are very much needed for you to pass. It is been 4 days that I haven't posted here because our summer class just started. This summer I have a modular review in my Accounting subject and so I rarely can visit myLot. Also, I can't post any discussions because I need much time to study my lessons for me to pass this summer. I just only visited the site to see my earnings updated by the tasks I have completed. Thankfully those tasks were confirmed and have increased my earnings. But doing tasks is not enough for me to earn more money here, I need to participate and make discussions right? To students like me, how did you manage your time studying while earning money online? Thanks.

I'm a college student too. But I just go with the flow. Meaning if I feel to overstressed or tired, I would stop and do something else. I don't exactly draw up a timetable for myself or something like that. How about just do whatever work you have until when you feel tired or too stressed then stop for a while then continue. No point creating a schedule because if you have no motivation to continue your work then it will show in the work you provide. You wouldn't want to submit low quality work don't you?

You have a point :) That is why I am not posting here if I am not in the mood or I am just too stress out.

Managing time is one of my weaknesses. I'm not having much difficulty in college, though. I find it easier than high school. To manage my time, I usually make a todo list or a list of goals, and then I do each of them one by one. It depends on my mood. If I'm in the mood to do only one task at a time, I promise myself that I will not log in to mylot or similar sites until after I've finished my homework. If I feel like multitasking, I open one tab for earning online. Then I work a little on homework, then work a little on paid sites, then switch back to homework again. I like multitasking better, because I think I have a short attention span and having variety in the things I do works better.

Just like you I also love multitasking. Because I am more relaxed than focusing on one task only but when exams are fast approaching I tend not to do several tasks at a time. :D

When i was in college, i don't take full load of subject, and i choose the schedule based on what i like, in that manner i can manage my time, i choose to have load of subject in morning and afternoon only until 4 o'clock in the afternoon. In my case, i'm not hurrying to graduate, i take my college days easily. But people have different decisions and these decisions will surely affect time.

I agree. Maybe that is also one factor why I am pressured because I am too eager to graduate. I am planning to finish college in 2015, hopefully. I am planning to have a morning and afternoon schedule because night classes make me more stressful.

Hi friend. Even I am a college student. I am pursuing mba right now.. I have completed my first semester exams and we have holidays for a week.. I started using mylot just 2 days ago. So, even I am worried hiw I am going to manage posting after my holidays... However, I will carry my phone with me, and can use mylot during short break, lunch time , free time, while traveling etc And one more thing, I want to say, don't study harder, study smarter. Use mind maps for studying and revising. Do revision regularly, or else you will forget what you have learned and you efforts will go in vain... Hope I helped.. god bless...

Hi friend, I think it is a good idea if you prioritize your study during summer, because It is more important than you make money online here. Maybe you can ask some additional money from your parents because you cannot make money online in your tight schedule. Have a nice day.

priorities. managing time would require what is your priorities in life. with this, ou will be able to know what to take care first. and to be able to know what to do and to arrange things up.. you can also take your notes and list them out.

Hello Sittie, I hope that you are doing fine at college. I think that you have to prioritize your activities. As I was in college too I know that you are not always pressured as you are not always relaxed. Try to combine your tasks. Prioritize your musts and manage your sparetime. I had a priest who used to say that getting relaxed is not being lazy. Getting relaxed is to change activities and routine. So when you have sparetime at college you can spent time here, and when you have college tasks do them. You are in a very challenging time at college. It´s time to study so you can find a good job. When you get older you´ll have harder duties and it will be more difficult for you to study whatever. Take care! Good luck! Blessings Sittie... dainy

If one has to manage time, one will have to do thigs faster. In order to do things faster, one would have to totally concentrate on what one is doing. Such concentration is possible when you are totally in whatever you do. When you are writing something, do not be half-hearted in it. Write with your total being. Thus it is possible to manage many tasks.

earning money online is a good thing and as a student im sure that earning the extra money will help you out but your studies has to take priority as its much more important to your future. Its hard to get the balance right between living your life and earning money online so you just need to prioritise.

Hi sittie! It seems that time is the hardest to manage. Well, even those who are already working experience the same thing. Personally, I have my offline job which requires equal attention. This is the reason why I cannot devote full time with my online activities. Knowing your priorities should be the first basis when making decisions as to which activity you should be dealing with at present. What is more important? Because I do not want to compromise my present job, I would most of the time cut my sleeping hours in order to devote more time with my online activities. I admit that this present setup that I have can be tiring but I have to make little sacrifices because I want to achieve success. Have a wonderful day!

As it was stated before time management is veryyy important! Especially for us college students! We have to be able to juggle being to class on time, doing homework, working if we have a job, and then of course extras such as family time, being with friends and etc. 1st I am going to tell you how I do it. First off I would like to introduce myself my name is Lina but everyone calls me Selina, and I am a college student of 3years counting that I am a transfer student I had 2yrs in my previous college and I am working on a Yr at my current college. Furthermore how I manage my time between school and money is breaking up the hours in the day. When you think about it you have to eat 3 times a day or at least try making that a goal, as well as eating the extra snack maybe so those are times you can multi-task. When you have studying/homework to do the 1st break you have take it to have a snack and spark a discussion. Of course your not going to be able to reply constantly and etc but at least you have started a conversation as to adding to your earnings! Also your getting a snack/food break in. Another thing you can do is intertwine your school into mylot. You can start the discussion on something your working on and maybe even get a study buddy or get some help or great input. To have correct/proper time management you have to make sure you give yourself breaks because if you overwork your body it will shut down and then it really will mess you up! Also you have to schedule scheduling is very important also get a planner or an organizr and stick to it! This will keep you on track of when and what times you need to do things and each thing you need to do! This is just some of what I do as a college student myself because I also work for myself so I have to work harder to make money as well as be in college so it is definitely possible and also what i do is look up steps! Look up different time management skills online that people do and that have been taught to people! Hope this helped! and I wish you the best with your college journeys and time management! :)

very simple. sit alone and analyse what have you been doing daily. if you do so you will get a clear picture of your day to day activities and you will also come to know at what time you are free daily. then try to frame a time table so that you can accomodate all your daily activities as well as our leisure time. if you do so you can know well in advance as to what you will be doing tomorrow and you will also have some more sapare time due the proper planning which you can utilise to earn from online

In well in my opinion you'are doing great because you're trying to study hard instead of stayibg here at earning money my suggestion is that you should try to have a timer that counts your time so you won't lose cognition of your time

I think time management is an art. I think one should write down the tasks one needed to complete and try to allot enough time on each task and try to manage time. I think writing down tasks and time will helps to better manage time. You can write down time for studying and various other activities and manage time accordingly.

Hi, i'm currently a college student too. I'm in my final semester now and will be grauduating this coming June. I hope that everythign works out fine for you. In the beginning i was really stress because i find it really hard to make money and at the same time study too. At first i started trying online job because i can work at the comfort of my own house. However, i realise that the payouts are really extremely little. If you really need to earn money to sustain your life right now, i suggest you to flip the papers and get a proper part-time job instead of tryign to make some moeny online because the payouts are really small as compared to having a brick-and-motor job. IF you have any additional time, then you can spend it on mylot. However, i do understand that you might not have the time to do part-time job. try to find one that is flexible and a boss that understands you are a college student. Let me know :) Before i go, one more tip. during my beginning years of college, i taught tuition. The money was good and it does not take up alot of time. THe only thing is to find a student and to know the materials well.
