I think Ive been smoking too much ganja over the years. I barely even get high anymore. It just makes me eat and sleep...which it seems like i cant do anymore without the weed. Has anyone dealt with feelings like this before? How did you quit??? I know its not technically an addictive drug but i still find it addicting in my lifestyle. Thanks for the insight and advice fellow mylotters :)

I am sorry to hear about that, you should take responsibilty to your health. What is your point to smoke too much ganja?Do you feel stress or depression? I think you do need to quit entirely and cut back. By the way, do you have some children? If you do have, thinking about your kids.Your behavious will affect them to a large extent. If you don't have, well,my suggestion is stopping do it as soon as possible, otherwise you may not give birth to any healthy kids.Do not give you too much excuses to smoke. Quite it!!!!!!

Change some routines. You mentioned you need it to sleep, so perhaps keep that one, for now. No wake-n-bake. In fact, try not to until after sundown. Do that for a few days. You will notice the change in your energy during the day, and eventually, you will start noticing you get the effects you desire, once again. Abstain, when you can, and that will adjust your tolerance. I agree with trying other herbals. Be real careful though, there are many that are much more strong, could even consider trippy.

I live in Jamaica and I have seen first hand the damage it has done to our youth. The younger they start - the worse is that it there is a disconnect between short term and long term memory. They cannot make the move from short term to long term and they fail and the whole cycle of poverty starts over again. Think hard aboutr why you are doing this to yourself

I agree with you totally as I have witnessed this in many people.

Another thing about starting to smoke wee at a young age is that it can induce psychosis or even schizophrenia in later life. This is documented and true. Particularly if you start before the age of fifteen it's possible to have these problems later. I have seen it close hand in someone I know which prompted me to do my own research. Weed is not as harmless as people think and affects different people in different ways. The longer you smoke it the more damage it can do.

Some users can become addicted to it. I never have, but for a long time after my experience with it, had some problems with blackouts. Some friends said during those times, that some alternate personalities spoke to them through me, but I am not sure how much to believe of that. Anyway. how about if you distance yourself from the weed and anyone that smokes it? You need some time to detox at least. Sorry I can't be much help.

Blackouts and alternate personalities? Wow, what kind of weed were you smoking? No seriously, that sounds like it may have been laced!

I'm not a weed smoker. This was after one time of trying it. It would also be triggered from the second hand of other people smoking. I don't even like to smell of the stuff now or be near it.

What is tik? That's what my friends thought at first that something was put in it, but as I said, It would happen just from smelling the weed or breathing it. I think it is the weed itself unless everyone is smoking the stuff laced or something.

Have you considered herbal remedies? (The legal kind, lol) Here are some herbs that have been known to help cannabis users: Damiana: This is a relaxing herb that makes a delicious tea and can also be smoked as an alternative. It is also a well-known aphrodisiac. Passionflower: This is a mildly sedating herb that can be smoked, drank as a tea, and I have seen them come in capsule form. It is good for mild insomnia as well. Scullcap: I have heard of people smoking or drinking this as a tea to help ease cravings of cannabis. Motherwort: Cannabis users smoke this as an alternative and I've heard it called "Marijuanilla." Mugwort, California Poppy, and Catnip are also sedating herbs that can be made into a tea or smoked as an alternative. Keep in mind that with herbs, the effects are probably going to seem milder to you and it will take awhile as you use less cannabis for your system to get used to these (if of course you choose to try!). I personally can vouch for Damiana (I drink it as a tea before bed and it has pleasant effect on my mood and tastes pretty good with honey!), as well as Scullcap and Passionflower (I take those two in capsule form before bed sometimes). Best of luck to you!!

To be honest, it sounds like you have something else going on in your life and you're using weed to try to escape it. Take stock of your life. Are you a happy person? Are you depressed about things? If you can figure out what's really going on and deal with that, you can deal with the weed. You'll either quit entirely or cut back. Either one is fine as long as you know the underlying causes. Good luck. And peace.

That is pretty hard to get rid off considering that it became part of your lifestyle already. But the first thing you need to do is decide to quit. What I mean with decide is having a very grounded and firm decision that you really need to stop for your health and also for your loved ones.

Or maybe they believe in freedom against a silly law. Just cause its a law doesn't make it right. And it doesn't damage brain cells that's what drinking does.

i dont know Ive never tried weed but have heard its addictive and i have seen most of my friends do weed too. but you see. they were smokers before and later moved on to weed because they never felt the same after smoking alot. i guess that is the same similarity which you are facing now my friend. the problem of weed is that its so damn addictive. when you start t smoke ganja you will go on doing it. i just dont know what you guys get from itbecause Ive never tried but i surely know its one hell of a feeling. its gets you high and stays longer too eh? lol. well come to think of the methods to stop weed , there is no such methods the strength of your mind is really what counts in while withdrawing weed . Some of the effective tips Ive found are 1. trash all the things realted to weed. like the paper and the dry leaves and make sure there is no left over of anything inside your house which makes you remmeber about weed again. 2. Mental strength is the most important factor when your thinking of withdrawing weed . stay mentally strong if u decide not to smoke then DONT SMOKE. convince your mind. give your mind some motivation to keep up the same decision. when you feel like smoking dont lose your mental strength. think about your good old days when u lived without weed 3.Keep urself busy: You should keep yourself busy in doing something. some work which will make you indulge in it that you will forget your temptations and concentrate more in the work... but there are other methods too but they are seriously addictive like weed too. so they are of no use

I haven't used that before . I think you just need a motivation to reach your goal.
