Why no rank for me in the category of ‘learn English’?

I have taken part in several discussions in the category of ‘learn English’. But unfortunately, I am yet to achieve any rank in the said category. Can anyone explain the underlying cause behind?

You probably haven't been in enough for them to have a rank for you yet. Good luck on that.

If you have added the interest then the only reason is because no-one has rated you. It makes no difference whether you start your own topics or not. I found one of your responses and rated it, so tomorrow when ratings are updated you should appear as ranked.

No, I do not believe so because I have responded to a large number of discussions, though I never started any discussion from my end. So the failure to start any discussion from my end may be attributed to the cause behind, but I am not sure about it.

I have also added it as 'my interest'. But I am yet to contribute in it and so the question of acquring any rank does not arise at all.

To rate you use the boxes to the right of each comment +/-/! as explained here by myLot: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx It is important that we all use the rating system as it is part of the earnings aglorithm. Of course it is important that we all use it correctly and that is why we should all be aware of those links.

There are 2 possible reasons why you have no rankings in 'learn English!: 1 - you have not added 'learn English2 as one of your interests 2 - (if you have added it) no-one has rated your activity in that interest. If we participate in an interest but do not add it as one of our interests, if others rate us we will not be ranked in that particular interest until after we add it.

I have already added this category as ‘my interest’ and so out of the two probable causes as mentioned by you the first one can easily be ruled out and the second one may be treated as the real cause behind. But I am not sure about it.

I think those ranks depend on the ratings other users give us. Maybe nobody has rated your posts in that category yet.
