Wedding Planner Business~

So, I finally made the Facebook page for my other business for weddings. Within minutes we had 10 likes on the page, pretty exciting for only a matter of minutes of being there! Then, I get a phone call from a photographer who wants to go into partnership with us. Not like splitting profits or anything. Just getting our names out there together. The photographer lets other's know about us and we let people know about the photographer. We have a DJ already that is getting our name out there for us, a videographer and now a photographer! Not bad for making the page today, right? =) Hoping the business keeps going the way it is starting out...

That is a great start and I hope your business will be publicised through Facebook and even words of mouth...Slowly developing it, surely it is a good business if it is not very competitive there. But your creativity will further generate more business

That's really great! I think that the most important thing for a new business is to get your name out there. Yes, a facebook page would help that, but I'm sure that joining forces with this photographer would get your name out there a little more, locally. It would be like another person helping you out to promote your business. Good luck!

That's really great, LovingMyBabies! You are on the roll! It is best to really have lots of connections as possible. And creating a Facebook Page could really help you. Now the next thing you need to do is to send out flyers by the mall or go to churches near you. Maybe they can help you to become one of their affiliate Wedding Planners.

A round of applause! Congratulations! It really needs courage to start a business and face all the challenges thrown to you. Most importantly, embrace the possibilities of profit and growth. Good luck LovingMyBabies. I hope you can share your page with us, we might share more ideas in wedding planning. Or I might help you out in expanding your reach. Good luck again! Good day. :)

Hi Hon,...wow, how are you going to do all this with your other childcare business...almost seems impossible. I do wish you and your sister all the luck in the world and I hope this works out well for you. Watch carefully who you are doing business with and get references from them..see their work too. You probably will also need a Vendor's License. I had one when I had my small craft business and the government does want their share. And you'll need it to get items wholesale so they are not full price. Here's a link for you..please read it or have your sister read it, as it's from the Small Business Administration and tells you about all the legalities which you'll need to file for a business like this. http://www.sba.gov/category/navigation-structure/starting-managing-business Good luck to both of you!

I will make it work, trust me. =) Somehow I will work it out. Right now it's not busy with the Wedding planning yet. When it gets bigger I will figure something out. Yeah we are putting people on our preferred vendors list that we either already know or we have seen their work. My sister is working on the business side of things because she is majoring in this in college. Thanks Kash! We will read it. =)

You will need contact with a flower shop, a wedding singer, cake maker,a caterer and an interior decorator. You're set to go, good luck. Wedding planning is good business.
• Valdosta, Georgia
12 Apr 13
We do have a flower shop already, unless they want to use fake flowers-if they do we make those ourselves! =) We have an awesome catering company that my sister used for her wedding. We don't need a wedding singer as most people don't use those anymore. We do all of the decorating ourselves as well. =)

If you live in a larger area, or city it tends to be easier to get your name out. I know a few friends in the city, that have made booming business just through word of mouth and other people. For me being such a small town everyone talks, so if 1 person doesn't like you then the whole town knows about it.

I live in a fairly big town, so hopefully our business will explode with people knowing about it! Plus we have some big companies letting people know about us too. =)
