I feel like I can't take my college education slowly

I've been in my dream school for a year now. I love this university, and this has always been my dream. And being successful has always been a big word for me. I know that education should be taken as an experience, like what I always tell myself, but I know that the real world comes right after. I feel like I am pressured by everything. I love the fact that I am finally where I really want to be but I think I am surrounded by things that makes me feel worried. Do you feel pressured as well by your parents and the people around you? Any advice?

you've been there for a year and you know the ropes. why worry? if your parents can see that you're doing your best then there's no need for them to pressure you on your studies. continue to study hard and you'll be able to make it. don't worry about the other people, just think about your parents and family. you will never be able to please everyone.

Thank you! You're right, I cannot please everybody. it's just that maybe it gets hard for me to relax sometimes because somehow I am taking a different course instead of what my parents and my sisters took and they're achievers.

you chose that course, right? if you think that you want to shift to the same course that your parents and sis took, then talk to them about it. BTW, being good in school is an achievement but it isn't everything in life. exceptional people have become successful in their lives even if they weren't college educated. just do your best.

We can only feel the pressure as much as we allow them to. It's just a matter of taking an appropriate mind-set and setting priorities. Everybody can say or expect a lot of things from us, and we cannot control how the people around us think or expect of us, but we can sure control how we react and think about whatever it is that they say.
