We received a text message yesterday about the sudden demise of a former co-teacher who died of cardiac arrest. We were so shocked because this person is not even fat, he has regular weight, did not have vices, and did not have any previous health issues. He was never absent in his classes. He just recently retired from teaching and received his retirement compensation so he and his family decided to go on a 5-day vacation to another island. It was while they were traveling when it happened. He just went to the rest room and had an attack right there inside the rest room. Why? Why does cardiac arrest happen to even the healthiest person?

That person is not absolutely healthy. Yes. You can say that he is healthy merely by knowing his background. Though he's not fat, don't have vices, and don't have any previous health issues but the question lies behind why he suffered from cardiac arrest? In my own point of view, he's not eating the right foods that our body needs. You haven't mentioned about his diet right? So we can say that he suffered from cardiac arrest due to his diet. Maybe he usually ate a lot of salty and fatty foods. That's one of the main reason why because it might blocked his coronary artery, thus, impeding the flow of oxygen to his cardiac muscles resulting to what we called now, "Cardiac Arrest".

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know why, but sometimes some people may look healthy on the outside, but may have a generational heart condition, a birth defect or high cholesterol. I only weigh 120lbs and have struggled with high cholesterol for several years while in my 20's. I' m kicking it down though and won't let it kick me down. The doctor said that it can cause heart attacts and strokes as well. I will keep you all and the co-worker's family in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear that and feel upset for his demise caused by cardiac arrest. I am not well aware of this kind of problem. Heart attack is a scary disease that needs to be observed in our daily life. A medical examination once a year is a must for us to know better of our health condition. Bless him.

Hi William! It was so sudden. I learned just now that he was in the middle of doing his "business" or pooping when this happened.

It is hard to accept news like that, especially for the family. May God give you strength in your time of darkness. Wishing you all the best.

heart failure illness is a traitor kind. maybe the teacher has a history of this kind of illness but she hides it. or yet, she did not pay much attention to it because of course, she is not expecting it to happen.they said that if a person has this, they are prohibited to be happy or sad or too feel too much emotion. i do not know why. and if a person has this too, they are not allowed to eat something greasy or oily. sometimes heart failures is caused by clogging fats in the nerves. the blood cannot circulate in there and the oxygen would be not be distributed well in our system since the work of the heart to pump bloods and bloods is to carry oxygen in our body parts. so that is why, we need to be careful of our health. let us be conscious of what we are going to eat. we need right and balance nutrition to be fit and healthy
