The Chrome Browser has a provision for users to go incognito which means that the activity will not find a place in 'history' but we are being watched by "Websites that collect or share information about you ·Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit ·Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys ·Surveillance by secret agents ·People standing behind you" Do you have people standing behind you and watching what you do here? Or for that matter do you like people breathing down your neck when you are working? I like my freedom and if anyone stood around me I will not able to perform.

That's the thing I hate about the most! When people are standing behind me or watching what I'm doing on my computer I would tell them to go away and I want my privacy. This works all the time but if it does not work, I make sure I get my revenge by watching also what they are doing in their computer just to make them feel what it feels like when you are being watch especially if you are chatting with someone and you really want to keep the conversation private.

Oh my that's why I am very careful when I'm browsing. Two months ago, my yahoo account was compromised. My contacts received messages that I never sent asking for something because I had an accident and soliciting money from them. My goodness, my colleagues who received the messages were wondering what's wrong since they see me well in the office and haven't given birth yet. So to make the story short, I changed my email add now. Being watched behind, I don't like too. But as a teacher my students see me every class. The students parents get to see me in class from time to time if they want to watch the class. BUT in my other job, I watch people all the time as they teach students. I must find out if they can do very well. But I am kind but frank. It's part of my job.

Hubby will watch me sometimes, but I do not mind him. In fact, I deliberately share interesting things with him. I do not like the idea that I am being tracked in so many ways. I have heard at sometime in the past that the surest way to get a virus is to download free screen savers.

It all depends on the kind of activity we have on the Net. If we have simple activity such as not dealing in money matters or even watching any forbidden stuff, one should not be unduly concerned. That is a nice thing GG allowing your hubby to eavesdrop - getting that feeling of togetherness.

My friend, good lady....there is always some-one looking over my shoulder.....HE is my Lord, as he guides me thru each moment....I may be approved or NOT, but I am always aware there is a path....my choice!

And despite the fact that HE is watching over us yet we go about doing things that HE may not quite like!

I believe that special programs and people with advance knowledge in computers can do that. I feel that at times that's why I make my passwords as difficult as much as possible but still I saw my profiles and photos manipulated. I'm also being watched offline. As if they have to know my every moves, like for what? so they can attack me when they like?

Being watched offline is a matter for concern averygirl. Have you been involved in any issues that have created enemies for you? And as far online content goes, it is possible I could be having some silent admirers as so far I have not seen any tampering of my content.

Wow, that makes me think twice before browsing through the web but then I will be totally out of it and can't enjoy my surfing over the net?! Oh, how are we to avoid it? It makes me scared.... Whenever I am on my PC work, I do not feel comfortable if someone is standing near me or watching what I am doing. My trend of thoughts will be vanished and I could not concentrate on what I am doing

The moral of the story is do not do anything on the Net that you would be ashamed of!

My younger daughter has had a habit of popping up beside me while I'm on here or typing up articles, reading private emails.etc. . She claims she is hungry to which I reply "When are you not hungry?" or she is bored to which I reply "boring is as boring does". I had to start locking the door so she's forced to knock. I certainly don't like being stood over.

But your daughter breathing down would not be as dangerous as those other monsters hovering around you while you are online unless ofcourse your daughter can mess up your life too!
