Hello friends I am a passionate of life and invest much time and energy in capturing the best that nature has to offer, for example sun-rise, moon, rain and other magnificent sceneries. I have been using a Nikon D3100 though which is a very good camera for beginners but it is high time for an upgrade now. Tell me about your passion for photography, which camera do you use and why? Thank you.

i always remember what Micky said at lightinshoot that; i don;t care what type of underwear you are using so why should i care what type of camera you use. we need to remember one thing is that a camera is an equipment that is use to record light. and choosing the right lens is a crucial as the camera itself, but above all we need to remember that at the end of the day it all boils down to one thing... the composition. i did a photography challenge for a month and it's about kit lens challenge. so if you are a serious shooter you would say... ohh kit lens what a shame, you got some primes there? the answer would be yes i do, got a 50mm 1.8 but why would i like to use a kit lens for a month. most hobbiest think that a kit lens is a looser but at the challenge we did prove something very different to everyone. we show them what a kit lens can and can't do but at the end of the day... it'w how you understand you equipment and how you see the light. so i always say to people i meet that camera is not important it's how you can read the light is what makes everything. iphones are even use in photography now a days and i have seen at lot of great shots with them. your camera is not the hero, it's you. your camera can't save you from a flat light or to a photographic error. no amount of photoshop can change that.

by the way i am a nature and natural light photographer. most of the time my photos are birds that can be found locally or endemic to a particular place. i also photograph events as a sideline to keep me alive (it pays the bills).

I use a Samsung WB700 digital camera. I bought it because it is tiny yet it can do up to 18 times with its zoom. I love it for my travels and my every day life. I adore taking photos and print my travel photos. I place those in albums and place a postcard on the front.

Oh that's too good. I am also fond of doing this but due to time constraint, I'm unable to dedicate quality time to my photography these days.

Bellis perennis - Daisy - Typically English flower, loved by many but regarded as a weed by gardeners.
I have been taking photos as a hobby since I was quite young. My father introduced me to it and showed me the magic of darkroom work - developing, printing and enlarging my own photos. The first camera I owned was a Kodak Autographic (but I never used the autographic feature which required special film and allowed one to write details on the actual negative before it was developed). Later on, I got a 35mm camera (an Ilford Sportsman) and took many good photos with that. I have hundreds of colour slides which really deserve to be scanned and converted into digital format! I think that I bought my first digital camera in 2000 - an Olympus 2.1 megapixel - although, by today's standards, 2 Mpx is almost laughable, the lens and the colour rendering were excellent and I was very proud of the photos I took with it. I have been using a Nikon D40X for some years now and am very happy with it. My favourite subjects are landscapes, architecture and close-ups of flowers, plants and, occasionally, insects. Here is a close-up of a daisy which I took yesterday.

That's an impressive photography journey. I am quite passionate to understand how autographic Kodak works and the process of developing, printing and enlarging the photos through the films has always fascinated me. Your Nikon D40X produces good output which I can see on the close-up of the daisy. Do you intend to purchase another camera after this?

I use a Canon 5d Mark II. I chose it for a couple of reasons. First its 21 mega pixels which at the time I bought it beat most everything else and still beats a lot of other cameras. I also wanted the option for HD video which the 5D Mark II does. This camera is a full frame sensor so I get every bit of my len in full to the pictures. I also wanted to do extreme macro photography and Canon has the Canon MP-E 65mm 1x-5x macro lens where there arent many if any comparable lens for other brands.

I used to love dSLRs but then over time, I got tired of them because traveling with dSLRs with the different lenses and other equipment can be be quite a chore. Then LOL, I decided to take one step backwards and went for the point and shoot instead. However I found those do not give me the depth and zoom that I wanted. I finally settled on a bridge camera. My last one is the Canon SX50. Check out the link below for more information if you are interested:
With its 24 - 1200 mm lens the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS digital camera is one of the most versatile super zoom bridge camera to take along if you enjoy traveling and taking photographs during your travels. With just one light weight bridge camera you can ge
