iPhone Personal Hotspot feature

I was in a coffee shop with a colleague this afternoon and for some reason, my 3G on my iPhone has been down for days already. My colleague offered to share his 3G connection through Personal Hotspot. It worked pretty fine and I can surf like normal. My concern now is privacy. During the time I was connected to his Personal Hotspot, is there a way he can monitor what I was working on in my iPhone, like contents of chat, sites visited, emails, etc.? Also, I've disconnected from his Personal Hotspot now, but is there a way he can still monitor my iPhone activities? I know this question sounds so paranoid but I just want to be enlightened on this. Looking forward to your replies. Thanks in advance.

May be your bluetooth has been enabled or wifi has enabled. Please turn off all the connections.

Hi, I am iPhone users. I tried this feature before and I was unable to monitor what the other users was surfing using my hotspot. So, it is safe for you and you do not have to worry about it.
