I've been single for a long time now. I finally begin to like someone who has invited me on a sort of date. I realized this person also has contacted my friend. I'm not sure on what matters. I'm quite nervous though. She's in an on again off again relationship with her current boyfriend. She and I have the same taste in guys so I'm scared she might be attracted to him. I'm not sure how to handle this properly or whatto think. Is silence best in this case? Its been a while since I developed feelings for someone. If this person and my friend somehow end up togethet, I'll be crushed.

If you are really fallen for that person, no harm to find out if your friend is attracted to him

You're right. I might be jumping. My friend has a habit of doing things like this though and I think that's why I'm nervous.

Maybe you are just being paranoid since you've started to develop a feelings towards him.
You can observe them or even ask your friend about it.

I would definitely ask your friend about it, just see what she says about it. She might not like him at all... You never know. I understand you being nervous but don't let it stop you from trying! =) You never know where things may lead you.
