Good Day!

For the first time in a while I actually had a really great time today! My husband and I went on my sister and brother in law's boat with them. We had such a good time. We were on the boat most of the day, and then we went on the tube which was being pulled by the boat. =)
It's been a long time since I had such a fun day! I feel really Blessed for getting to have so much fun today!!

Well good for you. It's always nice to get away, even if for only a day.
I spent all afternoon working on my front gardens, which I enjoyed as the sun was not only shining but the air was warm, too.

That sounds like SO much fun! I haven't been on a moving boat since 1991- the only times I ever got to set foot in one that was docked, my daughter would start crying! It was funny though, considering my dad owned a marina! And within seconds of me stepping on the dock, she would quiet down! But I took her on the ferry to Ellis Island when she was 6 or 7- at first she panicked, but I closed her eyes and led her to the rail. She was fine-then I opened her eyes and at first she was afraid, but she loved it and didn't want to get off! Go figure!

I'm sure the kids will love it! I went parasailing once, in 1987-and I LOVED it!!! It was hard though landing-I wear contacts, or else I'd do it at the shore! Never got to go tubing behind a boat though; I've gone tubing down the Delaware River a number of times, but that's following the current. And I love to canoe, but it's been years!
I'm also fair-skinned and burn easily, even though I'm half Italian. I went with a red head last time-we used Banana Boat waterproof 30 SPF on our bodies, and 50 SPF waterproof Banana Boat on our faces. She only got the tiniest pink-and I actually had a light gold tan, after being on the river for five hours!
My daughter isn't scared any more-she loves swimming and canoeing, she loves going tubing. It was just those few years-and I think her father projected HIS fears to her.

It was really a blast! I got a little sunburned which is not fun but other than that it was good. I put on 70 SPF 4 different times but because I am so fair skinned I burn like crazy, even with sun block on! I hate that.
I was scared to go tubing at first but once I got on I did not want to get off it. Lol. The boat I LOVE too!
Thank God my kids are not afraid because I wouldn't want them to not like it. They have so much fun when they go on. Next week their supposed to be going with us too sometime. =)

I am sure there will be many for you. Just take advantage of them when you can. I passed up some fun times because I felt I needed to work instead. Now I look back and see them as days that I really needed to get away and have fun.

I now understood why you got a sunburn. It seems that the reflection of sun in the water and in the snow are worse still that common sun. The next time, wear a hat and thin long sleeves.

Thanks for this discussion, i can feel how happy you feel now, there is river Mahanadi near my home, i do enjoy moving in boat with family members, for this we hire a boat man with his boat for say 2 hours @ 100 INR per hour.

Yes it was a river. We could have swam in there if the water wasn't so cold, it was quite cold though so we will swim later this summer there. It is a really nice place. Very relaxing day, much needed!

yes it is comfortable to you,at least,you and your family could go outside to enjoy the real life,to see the natural scenery,every day is busy for us,facing the computer,i also want to go outside to see the green plants and beautiful flowers,breathe the natural air...

I'm glad that you had a good time.
You've talked about going out with your husband for a date (in your past discussions), I guess this would qualify as one. Even though you were'nt alone, you still had fun, which is the main objective!
Hope there would be more days like these in the future.

Thank you! Not quite the same since there were 2 other people and 2 dogs there but kind of I suppose. Lol. That was the closest I am going to get. We did have a great time. =) I hope so too, thanks!

I'm so glad to hear that you had a great time. It is awesome to be able to do things like that and not have to spend a lot of money to have fun. I'm continuing to try and find things for us to do where we wouldn't have to spend a lot of money. Like going to natural attractions and things like that. You deserve to have a lot of good days like that. I hope your next one is coming up soon!

Thank you! =) It was $5 to spend the day on the river and we packed the cooler so we didn't have to buy anything there. It was a really nice day for only $5!!

It was a blast today! This was the first time I went tubing, I was scared at first but once I finally got on I didn't want to get off. Lol. It only cost my sister $5 for all day of boating where we went in the river. Not bad. I don't know how much it costs for the maintenance of the boat, I'm just glad I got to go on it with them! =)

It was so nice! That was only the second time I have been on a boat but I loved it so much. When my husband and I get much older and the kids are grown I would love to live on a boat! It was a great time. =) And tubing was SO fun too.

We all need some kind of relaxation in life. It is a good way to be away from all the stress and busy life style once a while and having a good time outing

It was just today but it was super nice to have a day of no stress! =) I don't get too many of those so it was really nice. I enjoyed it so much.
