Shvoong Website

Does anybody write for Shvoong.com? I have read about this site and i know it pays very little. The one thing i found out about it is that you can also translate articles and post them and share revenue with the original person who writed the article. So out of the 10% revenue Shvoong shares for each article. You would share that 10% for your translated article with the original poster. So 5%-5% Now im thinking if i want to come up with original content, i will do it on Squidoo or other sites like that. But this is a unique thing where i can probably translate A LOT of articles in 2 differend languages that i speak perfectly. And get a lifetime revenue, passive income. Do you have any experience with Shvoong? Is it worth it at all? Have you been paid by them?

I am a member of the site and yes I am not earning much from it primarily because I only have few articles submitted with the site. But some of our friends here in myLot who happens to be a member of the site also are earning pretty well from the site. For me this is a good site. The difference is that they are paying through revenue sharing that is why sometimes even if we get more views, we earn nothing. You can try other sites in order to maximize your earnings online. Have a nice day!

Hi ARIES1973 I will definitely try other sites. The thing with Shvoong is that i can translate articles. I didn't see this on any other revenue sharing site, so that is what i am thinking about. Basically translating would take me much less time to have many articles, no coming up with my own content. No thinking about what to write about. I wouldnt care about using that content for backlinks. So it would be very easy. That is why i am thinking of registering at Shvoong. Strictly translating there... Im probably going to register, give it a shot for a month, and if i see any potential no matter how small down the road i will stick with it. If i reach 100+ articles and i make some cents per month i'll just give it up. You too have a nice day :)

Then that would be a great opportunity for you. I think one of the best strategy in earning with a certain site is to make connections with those old time members of the site so that they could shares whatever they know particularly with regards to earning. Good luck and have a great day!

Yeah that's a good tip. Thanks Aries for all your help. By the way i read some articles you wrote on wikinut and column i think. You really write great articles, straight to the point, easy to understand, no grammar or pronounciation mistakes. You really do a good job, i must admit :)

It does pay very, very little. Even though you may have quality articles and translating skills, your articles will still get very few pageviews and you will thus get paid very little. I recommend sticking with mylot, and not wasting your time on pay per view sites. They tend to be rather unreliable with no definite income.

Yeah but see i can probably do an article every 30 minutes if i put my mind on it. So i could sit for 1 month. Translate 4-5 articles per day. That would make around 120-150 articles in one month. If i get 0.01cent per article per day. That's 1.50 per day. That's $45 per month. For life. Passive income. Even if it's less, even if its 0.01 per 2 articles per day. So $0.75 cents per day. So $22.50 per month. Still, after i do the work. Its completely passive income and i dont have to do anything anymore. And i don't have to stop there. I can do it for 3 months. Make 500 translations. Etc Etc Etc. Get it? Whatever i can do it 8 hours a day, make a few 1000 translations. And be done with it. Leave it to collect...

I will stay here. But i dont want to put all of my eggs in one basket. Besides, i cant be here all day every day and even if i was i can never make enough money to sustain myself only from here. Im branching out..into everything available and do-able ;)

I have not joined shvoong, but I have heard that they pay very very little. I have read few reviews about shvoong, where people say that they have written a lot, but have been paid so little. In my opinion, www.triond.com is much better. In triond also, you are not paid much. But there are some articles for which you are paid a lot. I have got 18 cents for one article. The minimum amount for payout is 0.50 dollars, Although a small amount, it is difficult to make it.

I have read about Triond but there are a lot of negative reviews i came upon while researching the site. That said, i will most probably try Triond at some point. The thing is that on Triond and other revenue sharing sites i gotta put up unique content in English. That's the thing with Shvoong i can translate other's articles and post them. So i dont have to come up with content so it will be much easier and faster. And also i wont care about building backlinks for my websites with those translated articles. I dont have any websites yet but i will soon and i want to start writing on the good revenue sharing sites when i do in order to direct some traffic to my sites too.

Do you write your own summaries in English or do you translate from others in your own language? How many summaries do you have on shvoong and how much you make on average? You don't have to answer if you dont want to :)

Hello LegalAlien! I have never had any experience on this site but a friend of mine was on it for awhile and he didn't really like it or enjoy it. He said there were much better sites to be on to earn money that were similar to this site. All the best. Happy MyLotting. ~AussieGal~

Yeah i know. They share like 10% revenue while other sites share 20%, 40%, 60%+ The only reason im still looking at this site because it gives me the option to translate the already existing articles others wrote in other languages, and since i know very well 2 other languages i could easily translate articles fast and start earning revenue. It's like, i wouldnt have to think of things to write about and then research them and write them in my own words. It would make things so easy and i could translate a lot of articles per day... But the translated articles actually don't even get 10% revenue for the translator. It becomes 5% for the translator and 5% for the person who originaly posted the article. Im still thinking about it if im gonna do it or now... Thanks for reponding AussieGal :)
