I was watching a Bollywood romantic movie "Jab Tak He Jaan" on TV and it was a very touching and beautiful movie, i loved enjoying this movie in totality. What got me emotional was when i watched Yash Chopra, the director of this beautiful movie, he is no more within us. What a coincidence, just after directing this movie he left this world. Such a charismatic personality he had, he was loved by each and every artist in the industry, he had given us some memorable movies. He was my favorite movie director and personally believe that no one can replace him as a director. I saw the unseen footage behind the camera of this movie and saw that he was just keep making each shots perfect, even at such an age, he had this vision and respect for his profession. Why he left us, i wanted to see more from his creativity. what about you guys? Have u watched this movie? Do u also miss a visionary director like Yash Chopra? Please do share your thoughts!

Hello Subhojit, I also watched this movie yesterday. When I read the title of your discussion I was wondering what would have made you emotional about the movie. For me this movie lacked the typical Yash Chopra magic. I have seen numerous of his movies and every movie would just stir some strong emotions in me and its songs, dialogues and scenes would linger in my mind for days. The romance in this movie didn't really work for me, but I agree that Yash Chopra had been one of the finest Indian directors. The unseen footage which showed Yash Chopra was the only thing that I really liked and while watching that I told my Mom how Yash Chopra had said that this was going to be his last movie. That he would retire from film making after this movie, but who knew that he would retire from his life. May his soul rest in peace in heaven.

Absolutely right, that movie was a duck and nothing with an old storyline which has been repeated several times expect the actresses in skirts in same storyline.

@Inderjeetkaur- Yeah i can understand your opinion but i know many said that this movie lacked the typical Yash Chopra magic, but still i liked it since it had SRK, my favorite hero .ha ha ha. Yeah he did said that this was going to his last movie and look at his destiny, he left immediately after he made this film. I really miss him and his visionary films.

@Yugocean - Katrina looked completely mesmerizing, but the story wasn't appealing at all. @Subhojit - Even I like Shahrukh especially in Yash Raj movies and I must say he looked comparatively better in this movie than some of his past movies.

@Inderjeetkaur- he he he, looks like u caught me huh. ha ha. Anyways yeah i do watch serials also, i am very fond of watching TV and i do not miss out if any exciting series or soap is getting aired on TV. I do not think boys should not watch serials, as it is made for everyone and not only for the ladies. Lemme think, quite a many serials i watch especially the Oriya serials as i am from Orissa. But among Hindi serials, i love Bade Ache Lagte He and Saathiya the most. I also watch Suvreen Guggal, Gumrah, D3 (All from Channel V). What r your favorite picks?

Its an absolute delight to watch Late Yash Copra's movies. He really managed to introduce you to different world of cinema through most of his movies, I think he excelled in his own forte which was romantic films. The way he portrays his actors in the movies is just so surreal... He is always been one of favorites. Unfortunately we are done watching his film for this life....

Yes dear u are absolutely right, he was just a perfect director that every actor would aspire to work in his or her entire lifetime at least once, he creates his character so beautifully on screen that it feels like as if they r portraying our own characters. I am at loss of words for this visionary director.
