I want to learn how to make Shushi

My family will go to a Japanese restaurant once in a while because my husband and son like to eat food with wasabi. Unlike them, I cannot tolerate wasabi. The "kick" from eating it is too much for me and it pains my head. I wonder, does wasabi has any nutrients in it? It is only the wasabi that I don't take but Shushi is my favorite and also other Japanese food. Looking at the types of dishes served at this restaurant, it gives me the desire to want to learn making Japanese food. The food is fresh and oil is used sparingly. I figure my kitchen will not be as oily and dirty as now if I learn more of the art of preparing less or almost non-oily food. Eating less oily food is no doubt good for our health and Shushi, although served in small sizes can be very filling and satisfying to our taste. Thanks for reading my post and happy mylotting.
