Oh...my...god...none of you have no idea how frustrating...seriou...I just don't know if I can describe what I'm feeling here on 4-21-2013. Right now i'm feeling angry, frustrated and tired at the same time. Angry because I lost all that I worked for on my tablet PC, frustrated that I tried to find ways to restore all I'll describe it as best as I can in this rant despite how i'm feeling right now. I got a Polaroid 7-inch Google Android tablet PC for Christmas 2012 that has the Android OS "4.0: Ice Cream Sandwich", and ever since then, I installed a lot of games. I'm new to tablet PCs, and since I have a slow nettop PC, it would be a good spare one to wait out the slowness. Recently, I got a Belkin Wi-Fi router for use with my tablet, and I got a lot of things. Played the following: -1MobileMarket -Symphony of the Origin -Battle Cats -Cerberus Age -Japan Life (6bpsg) -Vegas Life (DuoMaxwell) -Samurai Empire (DuoMaxwell) -Monster Paradise (BlueHeart) -ShiftIt -Dragon Warcraft -Dragon Gem -Mind Games -Jewels Miner -League of Heroes -Egypt: Reels of Luxor -Armageddon Squadron -MX Player and a few other apps installed. Later on, I tested out one of the tablet encryption methods like sliding my finger in a certain pattern to unlock it and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. I didn't know that it was the cause of the problems I now have. Just to be on the safe side, I selected most of my programs and made sure I selected "move to SD Card", but later on, it was a lie, a farce, a fake. My tablet's battery was running low, so I had to plug it into a USB outlet I plugged into the wall. I thought that the battery was low that caused the mess I was forced into, but that wasn't it. When I restarted my tablet PC after a session of "Samurai Empire" by Nubee, I ran into the following message of "Encryption Unsuccessful" that led to a forced factory reset on the following website: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447303 After spending 4 months leveling up, going through level after level in many games, and with my newbie skills and inexperience in tablet PCs, this was how I felt: I...was...completely...FURIOUS!!! 4 months of meeting new friends online through the games, all the time spent and progress I achieved, all of what I rightfully earned fair and square... At first I thought "luckily I moved my apps to my (Micro)SD card!", but even though I did, I found out that it didn't save the DATA, the SETTINGS, the SAVE FILES that were in the games. To use the servers online and/or the cloud for data storage without an option to save a backup copy of one's progress instead of saving to my hardware like a memory card...I don't agree with it one bit. That was asking for trouble. I don't like using Google to save my progress either since I still believe in online digital privacy, and I like my privacy. I wasn't about to give my personal info away or to be tracked. I felt like I was cornered with no way out. I became frustrated. I spent all day looking up info on the web as to how I can get my data back, but I found nothing that could help me. There was nothing for restoring my data on my tablet, and I'm not familiar with rooting it. As I said, if my data was really on my SD card it would be restored completely. Lastly, I felt tired. Felt like I was losing hope. Stressed out, burned out, and desperate as hopes for restoring my data from the SD card getting farther and farther away, I was knocked out and asleep. There was nothing I could do. 4 months of progress wasted with no way to get it back. 4 MONTHS of gaming progress and achievements, and it was all for nothing! "Move to SD card" my butt, they lied! It didn't save my progress at all! Didn't find it on my MicroSD Card, and there wasn't a way to move my data back to the tablet! Who in their wrong mind would come up with the idea of storing saved games on accounts, cloud drives and servers that can make you lose your game data instead of saving them to something like a REAL, PHYSICAL area like the MicroSD memory card, or what I always use like a physical hard drive or flash drive where I can reload my saved progress as backup? 4 months that I’ll never get back at all! All of that for nothing! DAMN YOU GOOGLE! DAMN YOU DEVELOPERS THAT DON’T SAVE TO PHYSICAL MEDIA AT ALL! DAMN YOU CLOUD STORAGE DEVELOPERS! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!! Rant over. Thank you.
