I had to do this, no alternative

Our LPG cylinders are empty since one week, now they have restricted supply to 6 in a year; we have booked for refill but it is not delivered yet. I kept ringing to the supplier but none lifts the phone; I was so irritated and upset. I called son of one of my renters and he took me there on my scooter. There I saw the phone ringing but 2 girl and one guy working there were not lifting the phone. I asked them the reason, they just smiled, I was so upset I pulled the phone came out rode scooter and came home. They know me well, in 15 minutes 2 gas cylinders were delivered in home; I gave back the phone. At times I have to be like that though I don’t like this at this age. What about your place, do you get cylinders delivered at home? Is there any limitations fixed? Ever acted like me? Please respond comment and share your experience if any? Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. Bhuwan Saraf. PhD. April 22. 2013. Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

THE customer is God! But for your situation, the supplier is God! I am wondering if there is any other supplier of LNG in you area. I guess the possibility is ten to one.

Professor! It is very good that you pulled out the phone. These people won't answer the phone and it is really irritating. Now , in this place I have a Mahanagar gas connection and I need to surrender the LPG Bharat for the next 6 months or one year.

Hello Professor I´m so sad to read that you have to lead with rude people. We have no restrictions here, but we save a lot of LPG for example I had a 20 liter cylinder for cooking for almost 6 months. And I used the oven to prepare Christmas and New Year dinner. I think it was a great idea to take their phone!! They were very rude. They deserved it. We have a say here "interest has feet".They wanted their phone back? They had to pay attention to your request and needs. Blessings Professor... dainy

I can completely understand your anger Sir. It is really irritating when you do not get the phone answered by these people especially when they are standing just near it, but purposely avoiding the phone calls. I don't know how I would have handled this situation, but I am sure my dad and brother too would have done something similar. Luckily, we are not facing any such problems here and get regular supply of gas cylinders and that too on time.

Well, strange co-incidence but then i did something similar today and guess what, its to gas cylinder agent.I am on short visit to my home and my mother has not been given gas cylinder for 4 weeks although she should be given 3 weeks ago and we are struggling for cooking at home. When they said they cannot deliver today , i got the number dialled them up and lady who took the call was told to give the phone to manager. My tone made her do that.Next, i told him the details and told by 4pm today if i do not get the cylinder or a call from him whether i will cylinder by tomorrow 10 am, then i would see them all in consumer court.I was looking for the procedures and was looking at consumer court redressal forum. But around 2 pm,they delivered the gas cylinder and driver did not have a pleasant face.I did not use any derogatory terms, but the choice of words and tone was enough to sound like a lion.My mother was alos shocked at the words and anger on my face.I have asked her to take actions to ensure nothing happens from those idiots again.Sometimes, you got to threat people to get things. As far as you have done, i do not think what you did was wrong. They need to be taught a lesson.I appreciate your guts. But i am sure they would never misbehave again to others atleast to you in future. Thanks!

You pulled away their phone and you get 2 cylinders of gas? Well, you are lucky they did not reported you to the police or you could be in prison of "stealing" their telephone. Couldn't you get another supplier?

Thanks for response I am consumer of this supplier since 30+ years, the day this service provider opened. They can't report to police, fault is there's.

What a bad service they give to their customers.. Oh, that was really annoying. When I read your post, I laughed. Wow, you were so angry Professor that you pulled their phone and took it home with you. That made them deliver your lpg at once. LOL. We sometimes experience that problem especially if the delivery boy has a lot of lpg to deliver. We just waited patiently though it was really making us mad. We had to cook already but there was no delivery yet.I hope they'll deliver as soon as they can next time.

Thanks for response , lol i have one connection and my son has another, due to frequent power failures we could not use electric heater and induction heater, there were several festivals, puja etc, we fed guests so gas was exhausted. Another thing if you pay 50 rupees extra they send cylinder same day; this i wont.

Here in the Philippines, there's still no restriction to the number of LPG cylinders we buy. In our household, we consume an 11-kilogram container in about three weeks. We have deliver service available here, and usually it only takes a few minutes to have a replacement cylinder tank brought to our house. And no, fortunately I haven't blown a fuse yet because of poor customer service. I get mad at times but I was able to hold my temper in check.

Hi Prof ! No problem with LPG supplies here , we are not limited , we can have as many cylinders as we have . All we need to do is call the supplier and it will be delivered in our door. The only prob is bit expensive here but expensive we can't do anything because it is a necessity . We can't eat without it.

If I were you, I will not come back anymore into that store rather I will shift for another store for the refilling of LPG. What the store helpers done was really so disappointing. Didn't they know that what they did, they will lost their customer because of poor assistance?

I belongs to jalandhar (Punjab) and there is no such issue like that it is sad to know that you encounter a bad experience with your gas supply agency. sir,we are using a unique mobile number provided by our gas agency dealer & now we can book & also check the status of same by using same unique mobile number. beside this we are also receiving sms for confirming our booking/receipt generation/delivery status. so we are experiencing a hassle free delivery of cylinders these days. You must try to book cylinder via using unique mobile number if available in your state it will help you to get your cylinder in time. thanks Mahatav

hi, prof. we don't have this problem in italy because the gas comes supplied by a company, like the lectricity. almost all homes have the conncetion and the meter records our consumption. we just pay the bill when it arrives. i can understand your anger. what was the use of their phone when they didn't answer the calls? they didn't even provide you an explanation when you asked. i think you should also report this to their boss. this way these unruly employees will learn a lesson.

Thanks for response dagami Here we have similar water connection to homes and it is metered, the LPG gas comes in cylinders, they have to deliver at home as per my contract, they charge extra give cash receipt for that; besides the delivery boys are given some tips, at times they demand it.
