This very short story made me laugh and wonder at the same time. There was a guy who had a girlfriend. One day, he proposed to her and asked her: "Will you marry me?" The girl answered: "No." And the guy lived happily ever after. Hahahahaha! Until now, it still makes me smile. Not knowing the reason or the reasons why despite the rejection from his beloved girlfriend, he still lived happily ever after.. makes me wonder 'til now... Maybe... he found a new girl better than the one who said "No" Maybe... that girl died early and he didn't have to be a widow on his young age Maybe... the girl had a contagious illness that could kill them both if they got married... and so on... Well.. Whatever the reason is... This makes me realize more that even bad situations can give us hope and result into good things... One of my favorite quotations is : "Everything happens for a purpose." One line from a Filipino song goes like this... "There's a rainbow always after the rain..." :) How about you? What's your rain? Did you already see your rainbow? What about your 'happy ending'? ^_________^

Similiar situatiation happened to me also. But its not a girl meeting a boy story. When i was in eighth semester most of my friends got campus placements but for me none. They all were in zest me still in thirst of a job. On chatting with them now i understood that their jobs were heart breaking they work for about 18 hours a day and there is a big BOSS to make it 19. I m still unemployed and has lot of time to sleep. But the thing is i don t really know i saw a rainbow after the rain.

wow.. If I were you, I would really feel good... :) I mean... working is what we need to, of course... but working for 18 or 19 hours??? duh!! Am I working to be hospitalized soon?? hihihi! I've been working for almost two years and I work from 8am-10pm... 14 hours... excluding the time I spend going back and forth. Whew! It makes me dizzy (so how's 18-19 hours??!) ... good thing that the nature of my work in the afternoon is not requiring to stand or walk or do anything else aside from sitting, thinking and talking.. hahaha! ^^ Yeah... there's really a rainbow after your rain... and it will be more visible soon...^^

That story made me laugh, too. And it definitely makes your imagination work as you think of possible reason why the guy still lives happily ever after even though he got rejected. I believe that all things happen for a reason, too. I think I have not gone through a really important rain in my life, but if it does happen, I hope I see my rainbow soon enough.

That's a good story cyjh21 :)) The guy surely has a positive thinking and attitude towards things coming his way, good and bad. I have always been practicing that kind of positive mindset. I thus don't feel too upset during the rains and too excited during the rainbows. The upset and excited feelings don't stay for too long in me, mostly I have a so so easy feeling :)

Well, I guess only fairy tale stories end that way, right? I guess, it was all for the best. I do agree that all things happen for a reason. I also believe that all things work together for good (quoting Romans 8:28 of the Bible), for the good of those who also love God. So we would think that it is to our best interest that bad or good things happen. Bottom line, we must always be thankful.

Hope. Such a small word yet it has so much power in it. We hope for good things during bad situations because when we hope, we feel a tad bit better. Hope has bought me a long way. Also, this saying, "All is well that ends well. If it does not end well, it is not the end yet." So, life maybe heard but it's all good.

A guy in his early teens fall for the beautiful girl and suffers to express her as the girl is too beautiful and the boy fears for rejection and spends all his time in just dreaming abou the girl. It's the most beautiful phase in his life and he plans out all the best possible ways to talk to the girl and express his feelings. The girl on the other hand observes him but, keeps mum. There comes a day when the girl reciprocates the same feeling towards the guy and the guy feels elated as the heavens come down for him.

Despite all the problems we encounter in life, life is still worth living. I just wonder that if the first woman rejected him, therefore he was not able to experience how his life would be beside her. In short, he wouldn't know if he will be less happy or much happier with her. Meaning he can't compare and can't say he is much happier with his present than of the past. But of course, there's this saying that it is no used crying over spilled milk. Why would you waste your time and emotions with someone who doesn't want to spend her life with you. I think that acceptance plays a big role in here. If you accepted the fact that you two are not meant for each other, then you'll be able to move on and find someone who will also love and respect you. We make decisions in life and I think that what creates our future. I was in a relationship before and been with this guy for seven long years. I already have plans for the future but I end up breaking up with just a month after our 7th anniversary. I made that huge decision that really changed my life. And now I am married with a different guy and with my experiences, I can clearly compare both relationships.

It's a nice attitude of him to accept rejection and move forward in life. I think there's really someone for us that we don't have to ask for the person from God. Most of the time that person comes in the right place and the right time wherein things flow smoothly without too much drama.

Hi Cyjh21! That is one funny story! Hahaha! I guess because married life usually gives the guy a lot of hardships. Earning money, making the wife happy, still helping at home, still taking care of the children, being satisfied in life. Unlike being a single man, he can do whatever he wants, no one's bothering him, no one's annoying him, no one's stressing and pressuring him up. Generally, freedom at it's finest. My rain? My marriage. Actually more of a storm, LOL! The rainbow? Everyday after the fight. Hehe ;) Thanks for the discussion ;)
