Week 10 and 12 down

SO I have been on this diet 10 weeks now. I have lost 12 pounds and considering we did a couple holidays and three weddings I will consider that not bad. Hubby gained 11 pounds between two weddings and Easter so I will take the slow weight loss. Of coarse I wish more had magically melted off but I do like cook and eat what I cook for those holidays and both the weddings as I did the food for them both. I was so busy I haven't posted about this for a few weeks, but man I barely was able to sit down most of this last month. Not complaining I would rather be busy then bored.

Ya, busy is better than bored. I am glad to here you have been busy. Your weight coming off slowly is so much better than dieting and losing fast like so many try to do. Keep up the good work!

Thank you. I am ready to slow down a bit though. A few weeks so I can get things done around the house and work on baby shower gifts. We have two babies coming at the end of June!

Congratulations. I have lost six pound in about a month so my loss is slow too. You did brilliantly and this way you will keep it off. Well done. How much do you want to lose?

My original goal was 120 pounds. I have lost 40 over the whole year. I started posting when I started a new diet after plateauing for about two months. I am getting there slowly, very slowly but as long as it keeps going down I will be happy and continue on.

you're doing good, it's really hard to lose weight when series of occasions are coming in, I can hardly resist food being served when those occasions came in. ha ha

it was hard but as I did a lot of fruit and veggies at all occasions I made myself only pick on those. I was losing about two pounds a week but slowed down mostly because of being weak and cheating here and there. I am hoping I can get back on track now that we are passed all the rest.

being always on the move will help burn those extra pounds that you want to lose. however, being on mylot isn't boring either. i'm glad you were able to lose weight despite those parties. you must be a good cook. although i can cook a few dishes myself, i wouldn't say i'm qualified to do so for a wedding party.

I don't get many complaints about my cooking. Both weddings where buffet and small the larger of the two for 60+ people. One I was paid for the other was a wedding gift to a friend. In fact it was his wedding that led to the next when the second weddings plans fell through a week before. That was a little rough but as it was for about 30 people not too bad.
