I have been in the company for 2 years now, thought I can develop very well, but everything has not changed,in what is,now is what appearance, especially in terms of wages, basically do not have. Now price is so high, and I also pay part of student loans,I feel very tired of life now,I also thought about to find a high salary job,but in recent months to find a job,I found good job, really difficult.I also want to resign,so I can rest for a period of time, during this time,I go back my homedown with my parents, and I also can walk around, relax mood. Then,I will go to look for a job again. But I also consider,if I quit my job,I will have no economy source. Now how do I choose?

Hi there Anzhixin72! Our situations are quite similar even though I have been with my previous company for just eight months. Still, I was earning more than enough and I was just awaiting a promotion, which I can possibly get in a month, if I get another high scores in my scorecard. I also feel that there are a lot of chances for career development and I am actually eyeing a position in another department which is involved in the operations. I still let go of my job because the only reason that I am holding on to it is the pay. Next month, my family and I will be going back to the province where we lived for six years before I got the job. We have options there for earning even though it will not be as high as what I was earning here, but we will still have enough. I think that you will need to stick with your job if you do not have any other options. You need it. You can also continue with your job while searching for other options. Would it be possible to ask for a break? File a leave even just for a week?

You have to talk to your parents about your decision, since you plan to stay with them if ever you quit. See if they can support you for a while during the time that you decide to take some time off. If they say that they will support your decision, then good for you. But you have to consider the strain this will put on your parents' finances.

I have already told my parents about my decision, they support my decision,at the same time, they also suggested that I go back to hometown to look for a job,so that they can easily take care of me.Once I also considered working back home, but I like the city where I live now,I don't want to leave here,so I haven't made the decision.

The economy is quite bad recently. Be patient and hang on. Do not resign until you got a better offer. This way it is safer and you will continue have sources of income. Money can be spend off very fast. For example, my husband was retired beginning of last year and it was really hard for him to find a job. So monthly expenses are accumulating fast. All my monthly income are just to pay bills.

What is more important to you? Taking a vacation or earning more money? That should help you decide.

If you can ask off for a period of time to have your vocation, then do it. My suggestion is, don't resign so early when you are still on an impulse of tired. During the vocation, you can take a good look at what you really want, and discuss it with your parent. Then, do what you really want to do.

My weakness in searching job is that the exam that was so strange for me i dont even given a chance to prove my worth i am very dis appointed with the job processing here in the Philippines you need to exert effort just to pass all the exams whereas in other country they'll just given u an interview and afterwards they hired you if you qualify for the post no hassle....

I think what you are doing is wise trying to figure out before making a decision. Your decision can make or break your career. So My advice is have back ups and contingency. Ask your self if you are prepared for the worst if you leave the company.

If I am in your shoes, I will have a second thought in quitting my job. As you said, it is not easy to find a new job.Unless I am sure that I can a have new job, then and only then I will quit. Maybe a long vacation will do. I believe you are entitle to a yearly break. After which, I will plan my weekend as my re-charging day. Personally, I find meaning in life by volunteering and church activity. It recharge me so well. It taught me to have reasons to smile.
