hole in my arm. help! what is this?

A few months ago I noticed that there was a discoloured spot on my arm. As I looked a little closer it was a hole. It feels like the muscle in a spot has disappeared. I went to my local small town doctor and she looked puzzled. She had no idea what it was or why it happened. She advised I go into the city and get xray and mri until I do I should keep an eye n it to see if it gets bigger. Did the muscle pul away from the bone? Did the muscle rot and die for some reason? Now the weathe is getting warmer I am starting to get embarassed. The hole is dark, about 3 finger tips wide and goes deep to the bone. It is located on my outside, upper arm, about where a short sleeve shirt would hit. Should I be scared? Are the test needed. Any body ever hear of this?

I think this is serious and you have to visit your doctor as soon as possible, It might not be more serious either. But such cases has to be supervised, as the way you have explained your arm hole to be that means it is exposed to air and dust and might enter inside the body through that hole.
Another thing why i am forcing on to see the doctor so much is because my sister had/still has a hole on the side of her forehead near ear. Later when it started troubling her too much, and we saw the doctor it was claimed to be a sinuses tumor. We got her operated but that part still is there(though now no harm) but it smells in between, she has to see the doctor once again. That is why i would suggest you not to delay on such matters. try to consult Radiation oncologist so that you will know if that is tumor.

You should run to a doctor as soon as possible. I just can't believe you've putting it off for this long. Stop being stupid and see the doc.

Haven't heard of it before, you should see a doctor a much as possible, don't waste anymore time just go to the "DOCTOR". Don't wait anymore time i might become worst.

Are you sure that's the bone? you're not in pain?? I mean, if that's the bone there, I don't think you'd last the day and type about it on mylot. Further, my brother is a medical laboratory technician and he said that the only thing he could remember that could bore a hole from the skin to the muscle is caused by bacteria.
You definitely have to have it checked ASAP.

This is something new to me. I hope it is nothing serious. Let's wait for the xray and MRI results. And hope that it is just temporary.

OMG that sounds horrible and I have never heard of anyone else having this happen to them. When are you going for the x-ray and or mri? I wouldn't put this off to much longer. It sounds extremely serious. I wish you had sent a picture of it so we could see it. For the depth to be to the bone maybe its a bone tumor. I don't know but I would get it checked out ASAP!
