I'm Going to Sell my DVD's

I’m going to sell my DVD’s that I have had for a long time. Someone on here actually suggested this to me because I really could use the extra money right now. I’m planning on using this money for a dentist bill. I haven’t watched the DVD’s in a very long time and a few of them skip so I am going to watch them one by one all the way through to make sure they don’t skip. Then I am going to sell them, I just hope they will sell. I’m planning on selling them in a lot instead of one by one. I hope I can make some money from these DVD’s and don’t have problems selling them, could really use the money.

That is a good idea. I have had a lot of people ask if I was going to sell mine when I move. I haven't made up my mind yet. I hope you make a lot from them.

Thanks. You could go through your DVD's and sell some of them but not all of them. If I were you I would keep the ones you really like, and sell the ones you don't. Good luck.

That is an idea. I have a lady that wants to buy VCR movies from me. Now my son and I have tons of them and they are good ones. I hope he goes through his cause I am going through mine this weekend. I figure they take up space and every dime I can make right now is needed.

That's a very good idea to make some money from things that you don't need. I have done that in the past, especially one time things were just tight and I was counting out my change, then I look over to my movie case and just realized that there were tons of movies that I could and should sell that would help make at least that week a little bit easier, and I was able to sell them through a craigslist posting . I am sure you will be able to sell yours as well

I need to sell some dvd's as well, but I am not sure where to start. I don't want to sell them offline but don't want to sell them online either. I have traded / sold some to someone I trust though... Where you going to sell yours?

Well there are different places. You can trade them on Amazon for gift cards. Sell them on Ebay for cash. Or you can try secondspin but I have never tried them, I will be shipping them to secondspin soon though. After they pay me I will tell you more information about them if you want. You could also have a garage sale, or yard sale if you wanted to. Just put a price on them and hopefully people will buy them. You might want to put other items in the yard sale that you want to sell as well. Good luck.

amazon trades in for dvd's as well? Hmm i did not know that. I knew about video games though. Do tell me more on that if you can, and on secondspin.

With the present advancement in technology, I think keeping these stuffs would only consume much space in our home. Besides if you need the fund for some useful thing, then so be it. I've read that SecondSpin is aslo a good place to sell CDs, DVS, and games. Just type in what you have to sell and the site will give you a quote. You can compare the price and choose which gives a better price. Have a great day!

Thanks for the advice. I looked at the website and got a quote. I plan on shipping them soon as I can. I'm actually surprised at how much I can get from them. There were a few they were only going to give me a very small amount for. So I will go on another website and sell them there. I'm hoping I can get those to sell though. At least I will be getting some cash for them.

Yeah, it is good that you value it according to your needs and pririoty . It is good to have leisure time for relaxation but obviously your health is more important then your material possession. If you are well, you could earn in future and can afford to buy whatever you may require from time to time .

Yes this is true. I just am afraid I will have problems selling them, but hopefully not. I am going to start watching them over the weekend to make sure none of them skip. I don't want to hear people tell me that some of the DVD's I sold were skipping, so I want to prevent that. I also want to prevent it because I don't want to sell someone a DVD that is going to skip, I know I wouldn't want to buy a messed up DVD so I will be making sure of that. Probably tomorrow or Saturday I will start watching them.

That's a great idea! I hate to see you get rid of something you love but maybe you'll be able to get them back once you graduate from college and land a great job. In the meantime you have to make those hard sacrifices in order to make it and you're doing a wise thing. Keep it up and you'll get there!

From where i'm from, second-hand DVDs are easy to sell but you have to really drop the prices. That's the problem if there are pirated and cheap DVDs being sold. One can buy a brand-new one at a fraction of the price. But i don't think you'll have that problem in the US. Go ahead and make some extra money selling your DVDs.

I was planning on selling them on Ebay. I have about 30 DVD's to sell. I'm going to go through them one more time and make sure I didn't miss any or any are hiding. I want to make sure that none of them skip so I will be watching them soon. Hopefully I can make some money from selling them.

It's always a good idea to sell something that is not completely necessary to us to win some cash, I always do that, but I sell clothes that I don't use anymore and when I see I have boxes of them. It doesn't give much money, but it's always nice to have some extra cash.
