the bougainvillea shrub

Everyday, as I walk along the road that leads into the main road where I wait for a jeepney in going to work, I would pass by this beautiful bougainvillea plant.
It has grown tall and it creeps into the fence of the house where it is planted outside of the fence. I would always admire the foliage of the plant as well as the violet flowers. It is summer that’s why they are so much in bloom. 
I have seen other houses too who has bougainvillea but with the orange color. But this one is dark violet. Beautiful, I can’t help taking pictures of it. See for yourself.

I like the bougainvillea very much.Sadly ,I can't grow it,because it can't suffers the cold winter here.In fact,what is called the violet flowers is not flowers but bracts.

What is bracts , chang? Yes, bougainvillea likes sunny places. That's why during summer they really are in bloom.

The bract is leaf-like part of a plant situated below a flower.It isn't petal,even if it is highly coloured .Just like the red leaves of Poinsettia aren't petals.

i like it better when different colors grow together. i think they like dry and hot climates and can survive with little water.

Yes, they really like sunlight. They are so much in bloom this summer.
I think, when you want a variety of color , you should plant different colors near each other, so when they grow their branches will meet each other, thus when the bloom , their flowers would also mix , thus the burst of different colors.

Truly beautiful! There was a time that I also engaged in having a garden. But that was when we are still staying in our previous house in the other province. But when I transferred to my present place, I don't have anymore space and time. I became so busy with my job and my online activities.
I also wish to be able to find a good place so that I could again continue with this hobby.

It's so nice to be able to have a garden.
My mother and sisters always cultivate the plants in our lawn. I am just a watcher only, because unlike them , i don't have a green thumb.
But i think this bougainvillea doesn't need constant care. It needs sunlight always though, i think.

I have never seen a white one actually. What i have seen is a seemingly greenish one that when you are from afar it seems whitish.
Beautiful flower , but with no fragrance.
