Hi, We used to put night lamp on in our old house. But in our new house there is no need of putting night lamp on because around our building there are tube lights and also street lamps. We keep our windows open. So light of tube lights and street lamps come through the windows in our bedrooms. Do you have the habit of keeping night lamp on while sleeping?

Well, in these tough economic life, we stop having a night lamp we just open our windows like what you do and the lights coming from the street lights is already our night lamp, so practical indeed.

We have a street light near the front of our house but it is far from our rooms so it serves more as security light, it also saves me because i would sometimes turn off the garage light or the corner light so there would not be a pattern and people would know there is somebody inside the house. As for the bed rooms, our house already runs on 4th generation led bulbs, very bright but uses less energy, but even then I still have smaller led bulbs (about 1 watt)directly plugged to the sockets, we use this at night to save us somemore

Hi, You have street lights in front of your house and they serve you as security light. Thus you can make use of street lights like us. It is very nice that you use led bulbs as night lamp which are not using more energy. Our electricity is saved as we don't have to turn on night lamps. thank you for the response.

We light a small bulb in the lobby, so that it is easy if someone gets up in the middle of the night as there isn't much light in that area. I have never used any night lamp in my room as I like sleeping in a completely dark room. Since I have shifted to a corner room now I have become habitual of some light that peeps in through street light.

I am not so close to a road to have a government funded nightlight hehehehe So i do keep a nightlight on, especialy because i am awake almost every night until very very late, sometimes i dont even sleep at night so i sleep during the day. But i prefer to turn it off before falling asleep. Unless i fall asleep accidentally. And of course if im awake and the sun comes out, i turn off the "Night" light...

In our house, we put a night lamp on. Because my mom gets up aften at night. It will take more time for me to start sleeping. If i start sleeping, I won't get up till morning. So in my hostel i don't want night lamp.

Hi, Light is necessary because when we wake up in the middle night, we could see everything in the dim light. Thank you for the response.

Hi roshigo58, Good for you. You can save electricity and money. I was just wondering. But doesn't the bright street lamps bother you and disturb your slumber? Or are you already so used to it that you can sllep with the lights on. I need a small night lamp. Have a nice day.

Hi, A night lamp is good to chase the mosquitoes away, it would also help in reorientation when waking up in the night, disorientation do happen in the dark. In my case, I can sleep with no lights on inside, like you I rely on outside ambient light like street lamps and lamps from the neighbors houses, sometimes when there's a full moon out, the lights are enough to brighten up the room..

When I was living with my parents and sleeping alone in the room, I used to use a nightlight. Still scared of the dark at this adult age. Haha! And when I got my baby, I used a lamp already. It was helpful because baby's needs are unpredictable at night, so we have to see what we're doing and where we're going, instead of stumbling in the dark and causes more trouble than help. :)

No I have not habit of keeping night lamp while sleeping. Lights of street lamps are too much sharp, how can you sleep in this. With dim light some one have not any problem. You know darkening is pre-condition of sound and peaceful sleeping.

I'm a scaredy cat ever since I was little and if I can only have it my way, I would leave the lights open until daylight comes. Much to my dismay, my sisters won't allow me to do this since it is costly when it comes to electricity bill. I just simply rely on the lights coming from the streets (although it is not much help since we are in the 26th floor) and neighboring buildings from afar. This is the reason why I go to sleep when I'm very tired or very sleepy so I don't get to think of scary things. Another way will be to sleep while my sisters are still awake so that light will still be turned on while I dozed off. The most important things is that I pray to GOD to keep me safe all the time.

We don't keep a lamp on when asleep. But then we do have a neighbor whose security light is very easily triggered. It sometimes keeps me awake as I am a very light sleeper.

I cannot sleep with the lights on. I don't even want that the lights from the other house would come inside my room so I used a thick blanket to cover my window. Maybe it has something to do with me having a migraine. I'm not sure about it. Have a great day!

hi,is it unsafe that keeping your windows open at night? i have the habit of putting a night lamp in my bedroom, but don't keep it on while sleeping.either my husband or i wants to sleep while the other one doesn't,we will turn off the light and on the night lamp.when the bedroom is filled with the orange and warm lights, the atmosphere in it is quite gentle and fragrant and good for sleeping . another benefit is that you can turn on the night lamp when you want to get up and go to the bathroom without disturbing the other.
