to delete or not to delete?

How do you manage your message inbox in your email addresses and in your cellphones? DO you have the feeling of saving it for a year or so? What is your reason then why are you saving such messages? Sometimes, it's hard to decide on what to delete cause the fact that the sender might not send you any sweet messages anymore...or how important you are to them. The feeling of times you miss them, you just have to get through the messages to reminisce the old times they are there for you to inspire, lift your spirits up and be challenged or be touched as well. How do you deal with messages?

So, you won't save anything? you just have to delete it all? How about there is something important there and you just didn't save, what now? i think you have to check first before you delete... in such way, you'll know if there would be messages left to be saved and not deleted...

Hahahah, yes of course, there are spam messages we wouldn't want to keep. Plus the chain letters to be exact! I don't like having chain letters it makes me sick. Seeing there would be about your mother or family or life being miserable if you would break the chain... How's that? Is it really possible? I think it's up to us who are making our own destiny and we are the ones who are held responsible for that. What you do think?

Hello mariaperalta! :) YEs, we can do such habit if we have time to face cellphones and internet access most of the time. It depends also on what impact does a message can make to a person and for us to save it still. it can also be like pictures. we can save some, we can delete some. It depends on what or who the person is in the picture. The more we are connected to the person, the more we find it hard to erase. Are you like that?

Okay, I understand your point. We all are different... and it is our own personal cellphones and emails to handle. So, we can erase or save things we want to. Thank you for sharing your insight. But how about pictures then? do you save or delete or do you love taking pictures or not?

I never keep any messages, I always delete them. Some as soon as I get them.

I think it is good to delete the mails that we do not need and to keep the mails that we need. Now a days there are options available to keep the mails in a folder.

I delete everything after I have read them. I see no reason to keep most of them unless their receipts for bills I've paid online. I don't like an email full of messages no matter how sweet they are.

Okay, then maybe it depends on how attached a person is to someone...specially if they really do love the person, most of the time, messages mean a lot to them. Thank you for sharing your insight. When it comes to email messages, well yes, I do delete all of them. Unless it is very important message I have to save it. But with message inbox in cellphones, there are personal messages sometimes I do save. for not all people have the ability to text again in the future...

I have a very bad memory so I keep all the messages on here incase something comes up. I do keep cute and memorable voice messages on our phone. Or I save them if one comes in for roommate. Other than that I get rid of them because they will only hold so many.

HAhahahahha, celticeagle you somehow remind me of what I am at times. I have bad memory specially to important things....waaahahaha That's why I do list some things in cellphone or in a message box for me to remind of what is there to remember. There are also things I want to keep as a reminder also that somehow, someone has made me feel better that's why I do save his/her message for that. Whenever I would feel sad, I would read the previous messages and somehow be lift up again and somehow sad face would begin a smile from within... AM I getting senti?

I delete most of messages after reading. some messages I think is good will keep in the phone. But Once the phone capacity is full, I will delete them all. If you think some messages are important to keep, you can write them down on your notebook, or you can send to your email box because email will have large capacity.

I don't worry about email messages. I read them online and they are there until they aren't anymore. I'm really not sure how long they stay online before they get deleted, but I occasionally need to go back through them to look for some old information so I am glad they are still available for quite some time. The ones I do save on the computer are ones I feel I may need to reference again. Text messages on the phone are another story. I am constantly getting the "messages full" notification and having to delete texts in order to see new ones. People who should just call send multiple text messages, which drives me nuts, and it fills up the phone. Sometimes I delete them and sometimes I don't think about it until the phone tells me it's full.

I used to be oh so sentimental on some messages on my mobile and email but that has just lead me to trouble! No sense of keeping them unless they are really important to hang on to.
