Buying used saves a lot. But some previously owned items could require costly repairs down the line. Some just are not worth buying. What are these things that you have in mind?

Clothes, ewwww who are the last people to wear them, who knows the last person to wear that shirt is a corpse. I remember a cousin of mine purchased a 2nd hand underwear. wearing used clothes of strangers is not my thing.

@girl_thinking Yeah. Thrift stores are cool in the US. I saw some here in the Philippines but the quality is not as good in the US. In the Us you can see branded clothes for just a dollar and etc. Yeah, I say no to underwear hehe.

Many years ago it was possible to buy just about everything, but not these days, when it costs a lot of money to fix just about everything! Sometimes it is better to approach a young kid who is interested in electronics or just fixing anything and I am sure they will do a good job and on the cheap too!

Second hand electronics are good if they are still sealed. Some of them you can resell for a good price. Most of the people I know know this and they would flip the price from a cheaper one.

I'm very thrifty and there are several items already listed made me say no way like underwear, mattress and certain furniture. Lately, I think used cars are on the list, as one of my friends has to take the bus more than drive.

Used underwears, yikes...!!! I would never consider buying used underwears... That's just wrong... I guess any type of clothing, I wouldn't feel too comfortable buying used...

You should never buy used vacuum cleaners or mattresses. Given the problems that some parts of this country have been having with bedbug infestations, I would also avoid upholstered furniture; that is simply too risky. I personally would avoid used cookware for multiple reasons. That is especially true of cast iron cookware, since it retains some of what is cooked in it.

I do buy pre owned stuff but making sure that I would not need to spend on repairs. If the intention of saving up doesn't meet up with an item, then, I just need to try my luck next time.
