i read this news on the CNN. it seems the government of new zealand has regulations regarding the names of babies. would you believe that there had been six parents who wanted to call their babies LUCIFER? how about you? what made you decide to choose a particular name for your baby? would you call your baby LUCIFER? http://edition.cnn.com/2013/05/01/world/asia/new-zealand-stange-baby-names/index.html?hpt=hp_c4

If my parents named me that, I'd think they hated me. I'd wonder that they looked at me as a devil.

Some people just like to be strange. I can't imagine anyone with half a brain naming their child Lucifer! Just too crazy

i agree with you. some people are strange. i checked and the name lucifer actually has a good meaning in latin - Means "bringing light", derived from Latin lux "light" and ferre "to bring however, it has become associated with evil and because of this i wouldn't want my son to be bullied in school.

Well, I can say that the name LUCIFER means light but due to the events that happened and stated on the bible, it's true meaning had been lost. When we here the name we thought about the bad things that the angel did to GOD which was betrayal.
