I can not see discussion updates on mylot

I can find the new discusstion on old mylot before. But now it seemed that I can only see the updates of my following friends. Why? I want to choose the topics which interest me. But now I am thinking I am staying in too small scale. I can not find anything I want to response. This is ridiculous, or am I using the wrong methods to search updates? Who can help me to figure out what happened. I don't want to leave mylot anyway.
