I ask my 70 years old granpa to look at his life and say if he is happy with it. "No" he responce without even think about it. Hes not believe in God, he work all his life, he lose his health and basicaly dont earn anything. So I ask him what is the point of your lives? "I dont know he said" Personaly I think what if there is no God then our lives is really without meaning, we live, we eat, we have children and we die, thats it. But we are so different from the animals we are searching for answers and we wont to have a life with meaning. I believe in God do you?

Yes, absolutely! And you know what? I believe He and His Great Plan of Salvation has been greatly underestimated! :) Colossians 1:20 "all things on earth and in heaven are being gathered into Him" Psalm 22:27 "all nations will praise Him, every knee shall bow, all families of the nations will be blessed in Him" Hope I put the right chapter and verse.. from memory.. all the best to you and your grandpa!

That sounds like a childish, 'when you wish upon a star'-response. Granted, that's what The Bible SAID belief would sound like (foolishness to unbelievers); but there's a reason-why it sounds so foolish---because humans are co-authors of the plan! ... maybe 'with no real control over the result,' but 'executive decision' on the pathway from beginning to end. I see some guy interpret doom-&-gloom from some prophetic Scripture, I can evade the doom with Gospel Scripture (the summary "Be ye not troubled" ... I know that's responding specifically to 'when you hear about wars & rumors of war,' but I've always felt that the command was primary enough to apply to ALL 'speculations of doom.')

@mythociate No, we are not co-authors of the plan. We however do have free will to choose to believe in and love God. He loves you, but will not force you to love Him. He is standing knocking at the door, but there is no knob on his side. Open the door and let Him in! Your happiness depends on it. Do you feel that empty space that you can't seem to fill with anything??? God designed you to need him. God bless you all today!!!

@JesusMaryJoseph What's to STOP Him from walking through the door (like the resurrected Jesus did to His disciples)? If He wrote the entire plan, then what choice do we have? If an actor decides that the story goes in a direction he doesn't want for his character, the director or producer (though it IS the actor's "right" to stand for what they believe-in) will FIRE the actor (instead of 'considering the way the actor wants things to turn out'). That's how it works for Earth. Maybe THAT'S why Jesus couldn't stay!

Does believing in G*d change the fact that all you do here is live, eat, have children & die?

Yes, believing in God changes EVERYTHING. Believing in God gives your life purpose. I am filled with peace and love. I can give this peace and love to others through my actions and words. If all you are doing is living a life without God, eating, having children, and dying.... yes you have missed out. Find God and you have eternity to look forward to. He loves you and is seeking you...you have free will to let him into your life. I will pray for you.

Hi, I believe in God. By experience we can realize the existence of God. He is always with us. We should have trust in him. God is the creator of the universe and everything happens for the reason.. I always pray God in my happiness and sadness.

This is exactly my point when I talk about the reason behind my faith in God. Without a real meaning, something that really matters, like eternity, like a supra-natural plan, life doesn't have any sense. Ok, it may be pleasant, but for what? Than you die, and people soon forget you. It doesn't matter anymore what you did while you were alive.

No, I believe in making the most of the life you have, and finding positive things in your life. That's what makes people happy in the end.

If anyone asked me about being satisfied or being happy with my life... I would say NO too without any second thoughts. Todays life has become so mechanical and money oriented, if you dont have either, there is no worth. And nowhere is this related to God. God has no role to play today. Humans, modernization and the competition are what are important. God exists only as a whim that there is some authority - we humans have learned and made him a puppet on whom we can put all the blame - if everything else fails.

Thats exactly that some religions do, put the blame on the God. But it's not his fault. And he neither forget about us. If God were to prevent horrible crimes, for instance, would he not, in effect, be supporting the case of the rebels? Would God not be making people think that perhaps humans can govern themselves without disastrous results? If God were to act in that way, he would become party to a lie. However, “it is impossible for God to lie.”—Hebrews 6:18. But God will thus use Jesus “to break up the works of the Devil.” (1 John 3:8)

Yes, but it doesn't mean that because I believe at Him, my life will be more nice and beautiful and that I will have a lot of money, that can make my life on this world easier. On the contrary I could have a life full of troubles. I believe that all life and things belong to God, and He give them to whom and when He wants.

I believe in God too. I ask for God's guidance. So we pray for God's blessings be upon us.When we desperately need help we seek God. We must pray fervently and trust God to provide our needs. God will provide if we have faith. Remember, what Jesus said, " Ask and you will receive. Seek you will find. Knock, the doors will be opened to you."
