Am I STUPID or Is This "New & Improved" myLot REALLY Confusing...lol?

I've been sitting here at my computer trying to figure out how in the world does one start a discussion and I was just about to give up when I accidentally clicked on the pencil and - voila - there it was! I guess just taking our payments away from us wasn't enough, they wanted to go after our sanity as well...lol?
Seriously, while those few bucks I received into my Paypal account every now and then were kind of nice, I certainly wasn't here just for the money. Alright, I'll admit it was cool to think of myself as a bit of a "professional" writer, but $10 sure isn't going to make or break me...at last not MOST of the time...lol. Anyway, the myLot Administration had every right to make the business decision to stop paying for posts. I get that . However, I'm still pretty damn angry at them for the way they made these changes. Whether I stay here or not I feel as though something has been taken from me and I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye. I mean, I don't know how many of my friends will still be here and while I've made contact with some of them via e-mail or on other social networks there are lots of myLotters I know I'll never hear from again and that makes me sad.
Gosh, myLot, couldn't you have at least given us all a few days or even a single FULL day to say our goodbyes or find out who is going to continue posting here on the new format? A lot of us have given you seven years, after all, and who can tie up all the loose ends from that amount of time in a few lousy hours?

It's really confusing and glitchy. And somebody brought too much spam to the potluck, too.

I agree with you Annie that the money was not that important but the idea that I was being rewarded was motivation to be active. Now I suddenly find more important things to do rather than post on mylot. I will be looking into different sites that pay for posting and will join one of them. I have enjoyed our discussions.
