Rudeness is not a vice of soul but the effect of several vices of vanity, ignorance of duty, laziness , stupidity and jealousy. Silence is the wit of the wise. Silence is eternity and speech is shallow. Silence is the safest policy if you are unsure of yourself. SILENCE IS THE BEST ART OF CONVERSATION. Silence helps to suppress your anger and tears, as perhaps nothing else can do.Excess of every thing is bad if people are abusing you for some crime and you are innocent you must speak as loud as you can because sometimes silence is not golden, just yellow. It is a great misfortune neither to have enough wit to talk well nor enough judgment to be silent. Never say a little in many words but a great deal in a few.

I don't think holding your anger is better than confronting the person being rude to you. You have to let the anger out of your system because studies have shown that you can develop problems with your heart if you hold on to your anger. Then again, it depends on the situation on what's the better option.

I liked the sentence "Silence is the best art of conversation". I think silence is good and healthy, but when we are living in the cities we can not be silent, we need to communicate. Perhaps we should say only what is necessary. On the other hand in the cities there are too much annoying noises.
