Am I wiser or just overprotective?

I've noticed that as a mother in my thirties there are things that I do to protect my baby that I would have never even thought of or possibly even laughed at when I was 16 and had my first baby. I remember thinking that older mothers were overprotective and spoil their kids, now I feel like a for saying that. Is this because I got wiser with age or have I become that which I once mocked?

with time comes experience, and with experience comes wisdom. when you were 16 and had your first child you had no idea ALL the responsibility that would come with bringing that child up right....you have since gained that...kudos to you.....there is no such thing as being over protective of your child.....(assuming you ar enot wrapping him.her in bubble wrap and not letting them out in public...)

It is instinct to a mother to protect her kids. I also agree with you, that it is of age that you have smartly make decision that you know will help bring up your kid to be a better individual.

it depends on whether the protection is good for baby or not, if it is good then it is wise, if it is not good, then overprotective :)
