life in the prison

I'm just curious if somebody here served time in the prison. Well, my mother got locked up in the past and I'm not even sure if I'm going to ask her about it. I do know she's a great woman. Things in her life just didn't turn out well for her. She's the go with the flow type but there's karma involved and she was trapped. Does anybody have prison experience?

I sure don't, but who knows, if I get more politically active, I may end up finding all about it.....

I have never been, but I know a lot of people who are young make the wrong decisions and don't realize the consequences (until they are facing them) and also get haranged into the situation by a "friend" or someone close to them. I have a prison penpal, and even though from what I have heard, it doesn't seem quite as bad as Law & Order portrays it, I could never imagine being locked up without the freedom to walk down the street (or whatever). I would go crazy for sure.
