Answers should be honest. Which means they wont always be nice.

Having brought up a little inquisistive one,I say honest and truthful so .................... so when do flowers grow? 'i'm not sure, but I do need they need water and sunshine um

The answers can't always be positive, however, I think they should always be considerate and respectful and be aimed at being helpful even when you do have to say something that is constructively critical. I think you'll find that in general you'll get a more positive acceptance to your communications when you present them in a considerate and respectful way. Honesty need not be rude, nor cutting and hurtful.
