How did God create this Universe?'Magic' or Science?

What do you think people? Who is our God? A Scientist/ Mathematician? Or A great Magician? If he is a scientist,he is doing his experiments on us.If he is a Magician, well! then he is just testing out his powers. I think he is a scientist, that's why we are having all these physical laws that are governing everything. Science is his method, only by understanding science can we ever understand the God.All Holy books inarguably has science in it.But they should be constantly updated.0.o As a matter of fact, it was much easier to create a religion at a time when science was not so advanced. So,why people won't make new religions now?It is because the founder has to be a scientist and should know everything about everything.Otherwise intelligent people will undermine his beliefs and ways before his teachings can ever become unquestionable facts or faith for millions. Also do you know why illiterates become believers faster than intelligent ones?Well, they find it easier to 'believe' in things that they don't understand than understanding those things that they believe in.

First of all we should know that whether God knew the So called words "Science" and "Magic" at the time of creating the universe.Because both these words and its related meaning were invented by human being

@garavegeta good and evil hold no meaning? ...only if you believe only a human society can exist? @mike05 Not to all humans @Amit Khiyani I think God is aware and understands both science and magic. One is a pursuit of disciplined knowledge and the other is an illusion. At least science can often compliment religious study and visa versa. Magic only distracts and confuses.

When I see a scientific proof of "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. — Mar 12:30, 31", I may believe you.

Hi,Owlwings Good to see that you are still flying around. "No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says; he is always convinced that it says what he means." - George Bernard Shaw We always had ethics, even though we never followed it.Founders of religions were actually wonderful people who wanted all the people to follow these ethics as guidelines. So they and their clerks formulated most of these guidelines into writings and scriptures and gave them a devine touch. Why did they call upon the God for help? That is because people can only be persuaded to do the right thing with the help of God. God is to people like boogeyman/santa is to kids Good kids get Santa's gift(heaven) Bad kids get boogeyman closets(hell)

@garavegeta When describing the creation of the "universe" the islamic concept does not discount the theory of a "Big Bang" explosion . In fact, the Quran says that "the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unit, before We clove them asunder" Following this big explosion, Allah "turned to the sky, and it had been smoke. He said to it and to the earth: 'Come together, willingly or unwillingly.' They said: 'We come in willing obedience'" Thus the elements and what was to become the planets and stars began to cool, come together, and form into shape, following the natural laws that Allah established in the universe.

@glasstrono That sounds mystical. Koranic teaching still insists that the sun moves around the earth. How can we advance when they teach things like that?-Taslima Nasrin

Many scientists believe that there is a Creator, as when they study the nature around us, they find there must someone extremely intelligent person behind everything we see around us. Nothing has ever come from nothing. Here is a story by a Nuclear Scientist, Alton Williams - why not read it and say what you think:
This is an authorized Web site of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is a research tool for publications in various languages produced by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

There is no evidence that God did all this. Nor is there anything even pointing to there being a need for a God to have had the universe come in to being. However, one could argue that a theoretical God could have used the forces of nature and the laws of physics and the inherent processes, to create the universe.

@garavegeta If an atheist follows Atheism why is it that most of what does get posted is religious? Why is that the case? Most of what is being discussed is about faith in God or God or some religious matter and not about science at all. This is true or is it false? If an atheist truly does have a belief that God does not exsist then why make a statement about God being a scientist? Is it not like saying the planet Vulcan is there because Mercury has a strange orbit? In the previous case the theory was revoked as it should have been by new evidence. Is that not the proper scientific thing to do? The reason so much discussion occurs about God and faith in God instead of science is within the framework of Atheism because Atheism is a religion. This is a fact which is obvious and shows up in how it is defined. The truth is God created and science followed. There is little division required on that subject unless of course a particular religious view states otherwise. True, science is never really in disagreement (only people are) for it is always searching for new answers.

Exactly! I am also an Atheist,I don't believe in any god.But you can't say this directly to a religious person.Faith in God is a good thing,as long as it is mild and not superstitious. If people start to believe that this "theoretical" God is more scientist like, their interest in science will grow, and they will start to believe in science rather than some age old dusty book, over time.

@Bluedoll science is pretty much always in disagreement with the bible and other religious fairy stories.

We don`t have new religions simply because there are not too many intelligent scientists. Many of them are poor atheist thinkers and they fool a lot of people like you into thinking that science and religion are in conflict and the atheism is the real deal. God created the universe in the same way Will Wright created The Sims. Go play the game and you will see there are rules in that game ( you can call them laws of the Sim Universe or laws of nature ). Go find some cheats and you will notice that you don`t have to obey to those rules since you are yourself a god thanks to Will`s mercy. So there you have an universe where everyone must obey the laws of nature, unless the creator of that universe interferes and creates "miracles". The illiterates become believers faster than the "brights" because they don`t lack common sense, while the "brights" have no use for common sense, they are too busy to admire themselves in the mirror.

Maybe that is why Jesus chose mostly fishermen who were poor and some could not read. They were easier to teach then those who already had preconceived ideas. Some times it is easier to convert someone who doesn't belong to a church then one who has been indoctrinated already.

@diunugal @garavegeta @D.P.D Wijesinghe I believe in God as a personage or having character is the best I can do for now to describe my belief. I do not consider God as merely an "it". Nature is a wonderful mystery that science has still much to learn about and reflects God.

Yes,Nature is the real God.It is more like a program than a mythical being. It doesn't matter to it,whether we believe in it or not.

When God wants, then He only tells, "Be". After that it is automatically created. Only He can exercise this power. He has the power to create and destroy. Nobody is comparable with Him.

we should learn his method.Nothing is impossible for us human. Our destruction is not our destruction, its the destruction of his 'creation'.He is at the losing end,not us.Our lives has no purpose and meaning. We are going to die anyway
