Question: I can't understand this C2951-VSEC C2951-VSEC situation. my understanding BGP ASN should be within 5 digit. but, APNIC assigned us 6 digit for ASN. surly, that configuration was rejectted from cisco router configuration. R1(config)#router bgp ? Autonomous system number R1(config)#router bgp xxxxxx ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker. in this case, how can I do? ask it to APNIC to correct ASN? otherwise. let me know my understanding is wrong. Answer: It sounds like you have a 4-byte ASN which will require an IOS that supports 32-bit AS numbers: Cisco 3925 Cisco 3925
