Why is there a holiday on suunday...... What is the importance of sunday??

Which holiday do you mean? There are a lot of holidays which fall on a Sunday. To which Sunday are you referring?

Originally, Christians observed Saturday (the seventh day) as the sabbath day, but in the Roman Empire Christians were the minority. It's said that the Romans worshiped their pagan deities on Sundays, and Christians may have chosen to observe the sabbath on Sunday to avoid calling attention to the fact that they were Christian. There was also the fact that Emperor Constantine (the first Emperor of Rome to convert to Christianity) declared Sunday to be a day of rest throughout the Empire, and the Church Council of Laodicea decreed that Christians would rest on Sunday instead of Saturday to separate their religious observances from those of the Jewish faith

Just as Muslims worsip on Friday, Jews on Saturday, Chrisians worship on Sunday. If you are Islamist your important day is Friday; when you attend the mosque several times.
