how to get donation?

I have an education institution for poor students. i have more than 200 students really need donation. anyone can tell me how?

Don't ask for money that is offputting and is viewed as lazy fundraising by many. Get your students to make,then sell say rice cookies, get your students friends/relatives to donate outgrown clothing or shoes and have a jumble sale, charge a small fee for a non-uniform day. All profits raise funds. EG my gran asked us to donate unused wool and made blankets for sale.
