Chinese students are not active in the world?

My foreign teacher said that Chinese students don't like to participant in the world affairs,but in other countries like America,students are active.Is that ture?

I don't think so,I have to admit that there are some Chinese students who are not concerned about world affairs but there are a large number of Chinese students who show their big interests in it.I think your teacher is a little provincial(NO DEFENSE),he or she should view it in a light of development.

Some how she is right because, I think must China students don’t participate in world affairs because of language issues.

I don't think so.I am a chinese student, and i am active to discuss or participate in the affairs, beeause we can not only be focus on our learning at school, but also the affairs all over the world. It is good for thier future

Yes, I can't agree more!Most of the latest news are written in English.Unless we love English so much and we can read very quickly,we don't like to read in English.

I am a Chinese too.I do love discussing news with my friends.But after I entering into university,I found students around me are not interested in them.

We do explore the information through the Internet,but most of the young spend a lot of time playing games,watching movies and so on.We care more about entertainment but not the world affairs.

Actually a lot of Americans don't have a clue as to what's going on in the rest of the world. They think America is the entire planet. It's doubtful that Chinese students don't care about world affairs. Maybe some, but not most.

i think thats true because the chinese peoples dont really want to be part of the world, they wanna be above the world, they want to be the best.
