To date or not to date

I had been single for 7 months and its really weird that I am celibate for 7 months. I want to try dating again but part of me wanted a break for at least a year. I found my pets therapeutic and I hang out with my friends and visit my family but romance is also a need. I feel empty and lonely but I don't know where to start. I don't want to go to a club to find a date or try online dating but I know deep inside I need some romance in my life. On the other hand I enjoy the bachelor lifestyle I have now. Am I ready to date or should I wait few more months until I am ready.

I say go for it but keep it casual, hardly considered a date at all. Just try something that seems comfortable without all the date norms. Go to a movie, dinner, coffee, walk, hangout what ever you are used to doing or try something new, then see what happens. Finding someone that has free time and like you wants some companionship might be the challenge.

Most women who wanted to date are not my type and most women I wanted to date puts me in the friend-zone..... I know its a sad situation.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Could be or not? The not our type can grow on us like opposite attracts if we give it time unless of course there are obvious beware signals. And the wanted ones in friend-zone might be friends for good time sake? Of course the good times are what? Otherwise we are all in searching mode?

@Bluedoll my last girlfriend is a total opposite, and I have enough of that. LOL I will never live with a woman who loves watching soap operas and go shopping ever again...LOL
