There is no "how true" about it! MyLot ended its earnings program on 1st May this year. MyLot no longer pays its members for participation.
This was announced on April 30th:

@owlwings Very true, but with the way things are there's always been a pretty solid dividing line between "Mylot staff" and "Mylotters."

Yeah, it is right that mylot has stopped making payments to its members since May, 2013. It is no longer a paying site. However, you could always post new discussions and elicit responses on your discussion to widen your horizon.
